Chris Rock Talks About Will Smith's Oscars Slap: 'I'm Still Kind Of Processing What Happened'

Chris Rock Talks About Will Smith’s Oscars Slap: ‘I’m Still Kind Of Processing What Happened’

Chris Rock talks about Will Smith’s slap three days after being slapped at the Oscars. The comedian discusses what transpired in his first stand-up show after the brawl.

Rock performed a sold-out show at the Wilbur Theater in Boston on Wednesday. On Sunday, the comedian made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from alopecia and has a bald head. The joke prompted the “King Richard” actor to step up to the stage and punched Rock in the face.

According to an audio recording of the comedy act published by Variety, Rock received a tremendous ovation on Wednesday night. He informed the audience, “I’m still kind of processing what happened”.

“How was your weekend?” Rock made a joke, according to Variety’s audio, after the applause went down. “I don’t have a bunch of (expletive) about what happened. So, if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend”.

“So at some point I’ll talk about that (expletive),” he told the crowd. “And it will be serious and funny”.

Ticket costs for Chris Rock’s shows are skyrocketing

Following the awful occurrence on Sunday, Rock is continuing his Ego Death comedy tour, which begins on Saturday in New Jersey and is already sold out for the opening shows. Before his tour begins, the comedian will perform six concerts at the Wilbur in Boston, all of which are sold out, according to Ticketmaster.

Ticket prices for Rock’s Wednesday show and subsequent Wilbur dates ranged from $51 to $71, but resellers are currently selling them for much more. TickPick, a secondary ticket vendor, has experienced an increase of 641 percent.

TickPick’s official Twitter feed revealed Monday that “we sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the previous month combined”.

Rob Kardashian Jokingly Quotes Tyga Amid Blac Chyna Child Support Drama

Rob Kardashian Jokingly Quotes Tyga Amid Blac Chyna Child Support Drama

Rob Kardashian got involved in the Blac Chyna drama.

Blac Chyna took to Twitter to announce that she would be getting rid of three vehicles since possessing them was somehow against her values. She continued by stating that she is a single mother raising her children without the benefit of child support payments. As you can expect, this enraged Tyga, who resorted to Instagram to express his displeasure.”I pay 40k a year for my son school & he lives w me mon- sat. Why would I pay child support lol.”

It was a response that got a lot of people talking on social media. In fact, it was such a positive response that even Rob Kardashian felt compelled to comment on the situation. Rob goes on to replicate Tyga’s response in the Shade Room article below, with a few added signifiers to add salt to injury.

Rob Kardashian’s Response: “I pay 37k a year for my daughter’s school,” Rob began. “I handle every single medical expense and pay for all her extracurricular activities.” He added, “I have my daughter from Tuesday-Saturday. Who would I pay child support lol.”

Both Tyga and Rob are clearly fed up with what Blac Chyna has been saying in the press. They believe it casts a poor light on their duties as fathers, and they want to clear the air.

March Madness has driven Eric Church insane

Eric Church, the singer of “Guys Like Me,” is off to the Final Four, y’all!

“This Saturday, my family and I are going to stand together to cheer on the Tar Heels as the team has made it to the Final Four. As a lifelong Carolina basketball fan, I’ve watched Carolina and Duke battle over the years.  But to have them matchup in the Final Four for the first time in history of the NCAA Tournament is any sports enthusiast’s dream,” he said.

According to Church, he will trade his place on stage for one in the stands.  He’s doing that to have the moment with my family and sports community.

He added, “It’s that same type of passion felt by the people who fill the seats at our concerts that makes us want to be part of a crowd at a game of this significance. Woody Durham always said, ‘Go where you go and do what you do.’ [T]hanks for letting me go here and be with the Tar Heels,” he came to conclusion.

Will Smith once cracked a bad joke

WATCH: WILL SMITH CRACKS A BAD JOKE ONCE, AND THE CLIP IS NOW GOING VIRAL

Will Smith once cracked a bad joke in the past. The Oscars 2022 were one of the most talked-about events of the year, with people still debating the on-stage conflict between Will Smith and Chris Rock.

An old clip of Will Smith making a bald joke on a talk show has gone viral as fans and celebs continue to share their thoughts on the King Richard star slapping the comedian.

The actor talks about a man’s shaved head in the 1991 video and laughs it off as a joke when the audience reacts.

The video, which has gone viral on Twitter, is from an episode of The Arsenio Hall Show from more than 30 years ago.

Will Smith Once Cracked A Bad Joke

Will says in the video: “You can’t do that in this world, man. You can’t do that. Arsenio, they got rules. They got rules, like, he has a rule. The bass player? He got a rule. He’s got to wax his head every morning. That’s a rule.”

The camera then cuts to a bald man in the audience, who laughs along with the actor when he tells the joke.

When the actor notices the audience’s amazement at hearing him make a joke about a person’s baldness, he immediately adds, “Oh it’s a joke, guy!” It’s a prank! “Come on!” you say.

Defending Will, Arsenio later says: “See? You got too into the character and got hurt.”

Will made a joke about the bald man in 1991, and now bassplayer John B. Williams has spoken out about the new incident.

“I didn’t take it seriously,” he told Rolling Stone about the old clip. He was a stand-up comedian, he was the Bel-Fresh Air’s Prince and he used to be a rapper. It was a joke to me. I made a joke about it. It was a spectacle & was enjoyable. “It didn’t bother me at all.”

Meanwhile, Williams commented on the actor slapping Chris Rock for a similar insult directed towards Jada: “Chris Rock is a comedian. I like Chris Rock. When Chris Rock made the comment, Will was laughing. It wasn’t until it became obvious Jada didn’t think it was funny that Will went to her defense.

“Love makes you do all kinds of things. That’s his wife, who he loves. He just reacted from outrage. I have sometimes reacted from outrage.”

Tiffany Haddish Praises will Smith for slapping Chris rock

Tiffany Haddish Praises Will Smith For Slapping Chris Rock

Tiffany Haddish is not one of those condemning Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock. After Rock, made a comic remark about Smith wife’s shaved bald head. Smith rushed to the stage to defend his wife.

Haddish, who has worked alongside Smith in ‘Girls Trip,’ was spotted talking to Pinkett Smith during a commercial break at the Oscars following the incident. Pinkett Smith initially accounced in December that she shaved her hair because of alopecia. Rock’s comedy wasn’t funny for “Pinkett Smith.

Pinkett praised her husband’s deeds, “the actress told People. Smith is doing “fine” according to Haddish. What she had to say about it is as follows:

Tiffany Haddish Praises Will Smith For Slapping Chris Rock

Will Smith allegedly slapped Chris Rock, according to Tiffany Haddish. “That’s What Your Husband Is Supposed To Do, Right? Protect you. I was moved when I witnessed a Black man standing up for his wife.”

After the Oscars, Haddish told People magazine (via EW): “That meant so much to me.” As a woman who has been unprotected, someone saying something like, ‘Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth, leave my wife alone,’ is what your spouse is supposed to do, right?

“Take care of yourself. That meant a great deal to me. And while the rest of the world may not like how it went down, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen because it convinced me that there are still guys out there who love and care about their wives. “And that’s their friend.”

Haddish added, referring to Rock. “Why would you do it as a friend?” He didn’t even tell her about the prank, but she was hurt. He probably wouldn’t have said anything if she hadn’t been harmed. But it was evident that he was… They took advantage of it. They took advantage of her, so… He guarded his wife.”
