Young Dolph’s Accused Killer Justin Johnson Refuses To Surrender As Promised
Young Dolph was gunned down outside a bakery in Memphis on November 17. In connection with the fatal shooting, an arrest warrant has been issued for a 23-year-old Tennessee man named Justin Johnson.
Young Dolph’s suspected killer is still at large within days of promising to surrender. He was due to surrender on Monday January 10 but chose not to show up. Memphis Police and U.S. Marshals continue to search the country for the suspected killer.
According to Fox13 Memphis, an attorney representing Johnson said he was unaware of Johnson’s plans to turn himself in. He had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of grievous bodily harm after shooting three people in a bowling alley in early 2017. They roam free even after being charged with crimes of this caliber.
Documents show Johnson was re-arrested for possession of weapons and drugs just months after his release. Memphis Mayor Strickland is hoping Tennessee lawmakers pass a bill to strengthen the aggravated assault ruling.
People are always worried that someone with such a criminal record is lying in the street. We need the law and law enforcement agencies to be more conscientious in dealing with these types of crimes.
