Lanez, stood before the Los Angeles court on Thursday, September 14, seeking bail after his recent sentencing. He pleaded for permission to reside in an opulent rental property alongside his six-year-old son and his new spouse, Raina Chassagne, while his legal team pursued an appeal of his conviction.

Unfortunately for Lanez, Judge David Herriford swiftly denied his request. The judge pointed to Lanez’s previous conviction for a violent offense, a history of disregarding court orders, and his non-U.S. citizenship, which could result in deportation to Canada, making it nearly impossible for him to return for further court proceedings.

Responding to a Twitter user who expressed a desire to see video evidence of the incident, she replied, “Let’s hope the court reporter captured it in the transcript! A source informs me that ‘several people in the courtroom heard it, including some of the deputies. I doubt the court reporter picked it up.’ [crossed fingers emoji].”
