Who is Alpo Martinez?
Alpo was a Puerto Rican-American drug dealer from Harlem, New York City. He rose to prominence in the mid-1980s and became well-known after being portrayed by rapper Cam’ron in the 2002 biographical film Paid in Full.
Alpo Martínez had a frightening criminal history, and many believe he has murdered dozens of people.
In 2015, Martinez was released from ADX Florence, a federal supermax facility in Fremont County, Colorado, where he had been incarcerated for 35 years for 14 counts of murder. Because he cooperated with law enforcement and has since been living under the protection of a United States witness relocation program, he was eligible to be released early.
However, Alpo was not living in the shadows any longer. He went back to Harlem and resumed his life there – among his numerous adversaries.
