Fetty Wap Pleads for Minimal Sentence in Drug Trafficking Case

Fetty Wap, the renowned rapper, has made a heartfelt plea to the judge overseeing his federal drug trafficking case, hoping for a minimum sentence. However, the prosecution is seeking a significantly longer period of incarceration.

In recently obtained legal documents, Fetty Wap, famous for his hit song “Trap Queen,” requests a mere five-year prison term related to his October 2021 arrest, to which he has since pled guilty.

While Fetty’s lawyer emphasizes his client’s acceptance of responsibility and asserts that this incident should not define him, the federal prosecutor advocates for a sentence of nine years (108 months). The prosecution alleges that Fetty Wap was involved in a large-scale drug ring that flooded Long Island, NY, with cocaine. Furthermore, the prosecutor claims that the rapper has been using his fame and influence to glamourize the drug trade.

Fetty Wap’s sentencing is scheduled for May 24, and he has been in custody since July after his $500,000 bond was revoked.
