Desiigner’s Legal Troubles: From Panda Rapper to Sex Offender

At just 26 years old, Desiigner recently faced sentencing for an unusual incident that occurred during a commercial flight from Japan to the USA. Federal agents arrested him upon landing after he openly admitted to a rather unconventional act – self-pleasure during the flight. His rationale? The rapper claimed it was due to a lack of action overseas.

Desiigner’s Legal Troubles

As part of his punishment, Desiigner will serve two years of probation and contribute 120 hours to community service. In addition, he must adhere to strict requirements, including registering as a sex offender, undergoing psychiatric evaluation, and undergoing regular drug testing. One more stipulation of his probation is the prohibition from owning a firearm – although, in truth, Desiigner’s finger-pointing antics might be a more pressing concern.

Desiigner come under hot fire after he exposed himself masturbating on the plane.

After the incident, he revealed he needs mental care. He wrote, “For the past few months i have not been ok, and i have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,” he wrote on Instagram on Thursday (April 20). “While overseas for a concert i performed at, i had to be admitted in to a hospital, i was not thinking clearly.”

Speaking further, Desiigner said, “They gave me meds, and i had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me. I will be cancelling all of my shows and any obligations until further notice. Mental health is real guys, please pray for me. If you’re [sic] not feeling like yourself please get help.”
