Jack Harlow’s rumored connection with Lil Nas X, which first surfaced with their hit song “Industry Baby” in 2021, had become the subject of considerable speculation within the hip-hop community. Even Harlow himself addressed these persistent rumors during his hosting gig on SNL last year.

However, as time passed, the chatter around Harlow and Nas X had started to die down. That is until the unexpected release of a track called “Louie Bags” from Kanye West’s highly anticipated leaked album, Donda 2.

Jack Harlow’s ‘SNL’ Performance Takes Us Back To The 1970s

Jack Harlow transported the audience back to the ’70s while serving as both host and musical guest during one of his appearances on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

On Saturday night’s broadcast of the late-night comedy show, Harlow sang a serene performance of “Lil Secret” while wearing a white suit that was reminiscent of John Travolta’s outfit from the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever and a scarf that matched (October 29).

Midway through the performance, the song changed to Harlow’s number-one hit “First Class,” which was accompanied by a little set change and the appearance of a lighted dance floor beneath the Kentucky rapper’s feet. He was accompanied by a band, two dancers, and other people.

In his second performance of the evening, Harlow sang “State Fair,” the last song off his most recent album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, which also contains the first two songs he performed.

More understated than in his last performance, Harlow sang the song alone on a stage that had been dimmed while donning a green sweatsuit combination and a sleeveless black puffer jacket. Two spotlights alternated colors during the song.

In addition to acting, Harlow will soon make his big-screen debut in a remake of the legendary basketball movie White Men Can’t Jump from 1992.

The part of Billy Hoyle, which was initially played by Woody Harrelson in 1992 original, is being played by the 24-year-old. Sinqua Walls will take on the character of Sidney Deane whom Wesley Snipes played opposite Harlow.

Jack Harlow Backs Troll Who Said He Paid $1 Million For “Semen” Lyric

The Jack Harlow hype train has encountered some significant resistance over the past week. The Louisville rapper’s victory at the VMAs for Song of the Summer against Beyoncé, Drake, and Future sparked a tremendous internet outcry and some disapproving looks from those in the music business. Then, on Saturday, September 3, Harlow gave a performance in front of an Ohio State crowd that had no interest in him

Trolls around the internet took notice of this same performance, which was broadcast on ESPN’s College GameDay. One Twitter user saw an opportunity to invent a false fact about the show despite Harlow performing a clean rendition of his hit song “First Class.”. “Jack Harlow has been fined $1 Million following his performance of ‘First Class’ on College GameDay,” @S_CharlesNFL wrote. “ESPN states that his lyric of ‘I give her sweet, sweet, Semen’ was extremely unprofessional for live TV, and he had signed off on blurring that lyric out of his performance.”

Although the tweet received a lot of attention, numerous admirers pointed out that Harlow did, in fact, edit the offending lyric. The “Churchill Downs” artist enjoyed the falsehood nonetheless and tweeted it himself.

Following Harlow’s lackluster performance, the rapper joined GameDay’s hosts and shared his predictions for the day’s games. However, he rapidly veered off course, telling a tale about how he had dated a Cincinnatian and that was why he admired the Bearcats. It was a busy TV appearance all told.

Burna Boy Disses Jack Harlow Regarding VMA Victories

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards’ huge night for Jack Harlow upset both musicians and viewers. Viewers responded on social media after Beyonce and BTS lost out to the song “Song of the Summer,” which received four moon men and was the crowd favorite. “A white man winning over Beyonce, BTS and Doja, VMAs be serious,” a fan wrote. Not just spectators were outraged by Harlow’s victories. The “First Class” rapper’s colleagues in the business appear to also feel betrayed by his Sunday winning run.

Burna Boy, who often steers clear of media controversy, posted a video on TikTok of a crowd screaming his hit song “Last Last” loudly. In addition to the heartfelt video, it was the Nigerian singer’s remark that led some viewers to believe he was disparaging Harlow. “Wow so many heartbroken people #LastLast #Songofthesummer,” he said, adding, “When #MTV Says Jack Harlow Had The Song of the Summer [yawn emoji].”

Burna Boy’s single “Last Last” is his first to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo or lead artist. It’s also his highest-charting song, spending the eighth week at the top of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart. The colorful tune, which samples Toni Braxton’s 2000 hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” has held the top spot on the US Afrobeats chart for the longest amount of time. Fans appear to support Burna Boy’s opinions. One respondent shared, “Never have I got in da car and said yo throw on that new Jack Harlow but I did say put on last last I need debo and shaloy or w/e he say.”

Jack Harlow Features Lil Wayne And Brandy For The BET Awards Performance

Lil Wayne and Brandy joined Jack Harlow for performances of his smash songs “Poison” and “First Class” at the BET Awards on Sunday night. On Harlow’s most recent album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, the two songs are included.

Background dancers joined Harlow on stage to perform “Poison” to open the concert. Wayne entered the stage to continue where Harlow left off as Wayne’s verse began. “First Class” was then played before Brandy took the stage to perform the song’s remix. In the audience, Ray J could be seen beaming with excitement.

Harlow’s collaboration with Brandy comes after the “What’s Poppin” rapper admitted earlier this year during an interview with Hot 97 that he was unaware that Brandy and Ray J were related.

To support his “Industry Baby” co-star, Harlow wore a Lil Nas X shirt earlier in the evening on the red carpet. Nas publicly criticized the BET Awards as the network failed to recognize his hugely hit single with Harlow, despite it being one of the year’s most popular songs.

Harlow has already shown his support for Nas. He referred to the rapper as a “hero” earlier this year.

Lil Yachty Reveals How Drake Wrote His “Churchill Downs” Verse In Just 11 Minutes

Lil Yachty says that Drake recorded his verse on Jack Harlow’s “Churchill Downs” in under 11 minutes. The song is on Harlow’s most recent album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, and many Drake fans consider it to be some of his best work in years.

During an Off The Record Podcast discussion with DJ Akademiks, Yachty divulged the information. He added that the entire verse was in front of Harlow while they were on a trip together “out there in the islands.”

While the song has received a lot of positive feedback, PETA has called out Harlow and Drake for their support of the Kentucky Derby and requested them to donate the song’s revenues to racehorses. The two rappers may be seen hanging out at the Kentucky Derby in a music video for the tune.

Harlow informed The 85 South Comedy Show after the event that Drake had lost money by picking the wrong horses.

“I just told Drake I would bet what he bet, so I copied him,” Harlow said.

Regardless, he had a nice time: “There’s no price on meeting someone who taught you how to do it and having them say, ‘Yo, you’re dope,'” he said.

Lil Uzi Vert Speaks On Jack Harlow’s Success: “He Doesn’t Have White Privilege”

Lil Uzi Vert doesn’t understand why many dislike Jack Harlow. Right now, Jack Harlow is in the driver’s seat. He became an obvious presence in mainstream culture just a few weeks after the release of his latest album, Come Home The Kids Miss You. Despite the fact that the album received some criticism, it’s clear that a few tracks are still getting a lot of airplay. Despite this, many people believe that Jack’s success is largely due to his race.

That does not appear to be the case for Lil Uzi Vert. Young Harleezy was recently featured on TMZ, and the Philadelphia rapper expressed his admiration for him. He called Louisville artist Jack Harlow “very good,” saying he doesn’t deserve the hate he’s getting. That’s when he was asked if Jack’s skin tone affects how he’s perceived by the general public.

“Nah, he doesn’t have white privilege,” Uzi stated. “Nah, he’s signed to Black people.”

Perhaps Uzi isn’t aware of the concept of white privilege, but his feelings about Jack Harlow have shifted over time. Uzi called Jack a clown after he signed to Generation Now during his feud with the company. However, it appears that the two have reconciled their differences.

Jack Harlow Speaks On Dua Lipa’s Reaction To His Song About Her

Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You, has 15 great songs on it. But only the sixth title, “Dua Lipa,” will stick with you. Harlow teased the single on Instagram only days before releasing his sophomore album. And the 24-year-song old’s has racked up nearly 3.5 million Spotify streams since its release on Friday.

While on the road promoting his new album, the Kentucky native stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss his friendship with Drake, his collaboration with Lil Nas X, and his family’s support. According to Uproxx, the hosts couldn’t help but move the subject to Harlow’s mention of the English vocalist at one point.

“I wanted to get her blessing,” he revealed, confirming that he received approval from Lipa before sharing the song. “I didn’t want her to be blindsided by that or feel creeped out or anything.”

When asked about her reaction, Harlow admitted that she remarked, “I suppose it’s OK,” although he thinks “when the song comes out, she’ll grow to appreciate it even more.” Instead of confirming that he has a crush on the starlet, he simply said, “I admire her.”

Jack Harlow Hails Lil Nas X As A "Hero" For Facing The Criticism: "Homophobia Still Exists"

Jack Harlow Hails Lil Nas X As A “Hero” For Facing The Criticism: “Homophobia Still Exists”

Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X collaborated on “Industry Baby,” and despite the harsh criticism they both received, the song rose to the top of the charts.

The rapper has become the topic of Hip Hop, thus it’s time for a Jack Harlow takeover. Harlow’s album Come Home The Kids Miss You was out yesterday (May 6) and has been a hot topic since its release. We’ve also received numerous fresh interviews from Harlow, in which he discussed lending his voice to Lil Nas X’s smash track “Industry Baby.”

Lil Nas X and Harlow collaborated on an LGBTQIA+-friendly music video, but the homophobic remarks bothered the Kentucky rapper.

“The totally inappropriate reaction to him lets you know that we still have some progress to be made,” Harlow told The Guardian. “And you hear it in passing; there’s still some homophobia going on. But he’s taking the hit that artists won’t have to take in the future. That’s what makes him a hero.”

Jack Harlow’s Interview With Zane Lowe

In a separate interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Harlow discussed “Industry Baby” as a part of his heritage that he treasures.

“I felt like as I was recording the verse, I felt like in 10 years, I’m going to be very proud of this,” he stated. “I feel like my grandkids are going to see this, and once they understand the context of everything, they’re going to be like, ‘Wow. My grandpa did the right thing. It’s tough.’ Yeah, I definitely was like, ‘This is fun. This is progression.’ That’s one thing, the success I’m having, and people are coming around, and the music is working, but one thing I’m really looking forward to next is, I know I have to make contributions… and do new sh*t, push the sh*t forward.”

“I’ve done some things, I’m having some success, but I haven’t fully added my branch to the tree of hip hop yet. I haven’t brought my branch where people can point and Jack Harlow and say, ‘Here’s what he added that no one was giving us before.”‘ I fully plan on doing that. And I’m not saying that’s what that was, but that decision to me felt like one of those steps of like, not everybody would take that step, but it made total sense to me. The song was good, he’s amazing. I loved making the decision. It felt really good.”

Jack Harlow’s Latest Album Receives Praise From Fans

Jack Harlow released his brand new album, “Come Home The Kids Miss You” last night. The album was highly anticipated, particularly because it featured lead songs such as “First Class” and “Nail Tech.” Harlow has recently risen to prominence, so it’s no wonder that fans were happy about this new project.

Harlow received a lot of backlash on social media in the hours coming up to the release. Many people compared him to G-Eazy and other white rappers with a bad rep. Before the rapper’s big moment, there was a sensation that the internet was turning against him, but after the album dropped, the slander stopped.

The tracks on this album received a lot of praise from fans. Of course, “Churchill Downs,” which features Drake, is a fan favorite. While some fans thought the album should have been more thrilling, others thought it was excellent and enjoyable to listen to.

A fan said “this jack harlow hate is ridiculous. his album isn’t even close to a AOTY contender, but it’s got good production, smooth verses, good features, overall it’s an enjoyable album to me. everyone hating too much.”

Harlow is well aware that the internet can be a particularly hostile environment for certain musicians. In any case, his CD is to sell a lot of copies, which is presumably all that counts to him.
