2Pac Murder Suspect Keefe D Struggles to Afford Lawyer

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, charged with 2Pac’s murder, faces a legal challenge as he can’t afford a private attorney. Attorney Ross Goodman, who initially represented him, confirmed that Keefe D couldn’t meet the terms of their agreement. With financial issues hindering his legal representation, Los Angeles-based attorney Edi Faal anticipates that a judge will appoint a representative from the Clark County Special Public Defender’s office for Davis. Which means he will not have any kind of high profiled lawyer to represent him or something like that, but instead he will be represented by a judge appointed public defender.

Keefe D, associated with the South Side Compton Crips, was arrested in September for his alleged role in 2Pac’s 1996 murder. He faces charges related to murder with a deadly weapon linked to a criminal gang and is currently in custody without bail.

Davis has previously made statements about the murder, admitting to providing the murder weapon in his 2019 book, implicating his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson. Authorities suggest that 2Pac’s murder was an act of “retribution” for a prior altercation.

While Keefe D’s arraignment is scheduled for November 2, it may face further delays due to his lack of legal representation.
