Benny The Butcher Applauds Eminem And Paul Rosenberg For Signing Griselda
Benny The Butcher is now a member of Def Jam Recordings, and his latest album, “Tana Talk 4,” was just out. The rapper took to social media to express his gratitude to Eminem and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, for signing Griselda and assisting them in moving forward. “What Paul and Em did for Buffalo & hip hop jus by signing Griselda is forever appreciated,” he tweeted.
Benny’s cousins Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine, as well as Griselda as a collective, inked a deal with Eminem’s Shady Records, an Interscope subsidiary, in 2017. Westside Gunn signed with Shady in 2020 and released “Who Made the Sunshine,” his first and only project with the label. The rapper then declared that he completed his contract with Shady Records and had gone solo.
Conway The Machine released his Shady debut “God Don’t Make Mistakes” earlier this year, featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Beanie Sigel, and others. Conway’s contractual responsibilities with the label were also fulfilled through this effort. “I’m just thankful man, I’m blessed,” he said in an interview. “I appreciate everybody over there at Shady Records. From the top on down, Eminem, Paul, Tracy, Mike H… the whole building. I’ve never had an issue and I have no issues now. If that’s where my journey in life takes me to doing more business with Shady then I’m with that too. After this album, my contractual obligations will be fulfilled and whatever comes after that I’m gonna accept it and be thankful.”
