BET’s announcement for official nominations for the “BET AWARDS” 2021

It is fair to say that ‘BET awards’ is the most watched award show in the world. on 27^th may 2021, they announced the nominees of the BET AWARDS 2021. There are some faces we expected to see after a great entertainment they gave us for the past few months. Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby are tied for first place with seven nominations each. Cardi B and Drake came in second with 5 nominations each. The event will take place in Los Angeles on June 27^th.

          The nominees in each category are as follows. For the album of the year; After hours by the Weeknd, King’s disease by Nas, Blame it on baby by DaBaby, Good news by Megan Thee Stallion, Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan and Ungodly hour by Chloe x Halle.

         The best collaboration includes, Cardi b ft. Megan Thee Stallion in Wap, DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch in rockstar, DJ Khaled ft. Drake in popstar, Jack Harlow ft. DaBaby, Tory Lanez & Lil Wayne in the remix of What’s poppin, Megan Thee Stallion ft. DaBaby in cry baby and Pop smoke ft. Lil baby & Dababy in for the night.

The best female R&B / pop artist nominees are; Beyoncé, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, SZA. The best male R&B / pop artist nominees are; 6lack, Anderson. Paak, Chris Brown, Giveon, Tank and the Weeknd.

The best new artist category include; Coi Leray, Flo Milli, Giveon, Jack Harlow, Latto and Pooh Shiesty. The category of the best group include; 21 savage & Metro Boomin, Chloe x Halle, Chris Brown & Young thug, City girls, Migos and Silk sonic.

The best female hip hop artist nominees are; Cardi b, Coi Leray, Doja cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto and Saweetie. The best male hip hop artist nominees are; DaBaby, Drake, J. Cole, Jack Harlow, Lil baby and Pop smoke.

The best international act nominees include; Aya Nakamura (France), Burna boy (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie one (UK), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young t & Bugsey (UK) and Youssoupha (France).

The video of the year includes; Up by Cardi b, Wap by Cardi b ft. Megan Thee Stallion, do it by Chloe x Halle, go crazy by Chris Brown & Young thug, laugh now cry later by Drake ft. Lil durk, leave the door open by Silk sonic.

The video director of the year nominees are; Benny boom, Bruno mars and Florent Déchard, Cole Bennett, Colin Tilley, Dave Meyers and Hype Williams.

For the best actress nominees, we have; Andra Day, Angela Bassett, Issa Rae, Jurnee Smollett, Viola Davis and Zendaya. The best actor includes; Aldis Hodge, Chadwick Boseman, Damson Idris, Daniel Kaluuya, Eddie Murphy and Lakeith Stanfield.

The nominees for dr. Bobby Jones best gospel/inspirational award are; in Jesus’ name by Bebe Winans, never lost by Cece Winans, hold us together by H.E.R., strong God by Kirk Franklin, thank you for it all by Marvin Sapp and touch from you by Tamela Mann.
