Biggie Crowns The Best Rapper Of All Time
Biggie – Notorious B.I.G. was in Los Angeles to promote his album “Life After Death” on March 9, 1997, when he was killed at the age of 24. He was shot four times while driving.
Although, his murder case has not been resolved, the Los Angeles police department officer believes he was killed by Suge Knight, former Death Row Records CEO to revenge the killing of Tupac Shakur in 1996.
It’s twenty-five years down the line, Biggie is considered a Hip Hop legend, and his work is still being celebrated all over the globe. Diddy shared a throwback video of Biggie on the 9th of March, encouraging the upcoming artist to pursue their dreams.
“There will NEVER be another,” he wrote in the caption. “The GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME. Today we celebrate and honor you, king. Love and miss you!!”
Biggie was only able to release just one album while he was alive, his 1994 debut Ready To Die. The project produced several Hip Hop classics, including. “Juicy,” “Big Poppa” and the likes.”
The track “Life After Death” was released just 16 days after his murder, lending the entire project an ominous vibe. Adding to the fact that it picks up where “Suicidal Thoughts” left off on the first album.
