Yella Beezy Arrested In Connection With A Sexual Assault Case Currently On Hold

Yella Beezy is paying the price for not properly handling his bail. The Shade Room said on Thursday (May 26) that Beezy had been detained the day before in connection with his pending sexual assault case from 2021.

The rapper had a warrant issued for “bond held insufficient,” which indicates he did not pay his previous arrest’s bail in full. Beezy is now in detention, with bail set at $1 million, after the judge chose to re-arrest him.

In 2021, the 30-year-old rapper got arrested and accused with neglecting or endangering a kid, unauthorized weapon carrying, and sexual assault. Following his arrest, facts about a lady who claimed Beezy sexually abused her when he brought her into his home surfaced, but the rapper denied the allegations.

“I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything going on, but it’s false allegations,” he stated in a video. “Anybody that know me know I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I’m not an aggressive person like, that don’t even fit me, like at all. My character, me and that same thang don’t even belong in the same sentence. It don’t even sound right coming out my mouth.”

Young Thug And Gunna Indictment Highlights The Use Of Rap Lyrics As Evidence In Court

Young Thug was not granted bail and will remain in Fulton County Jail for the foreseeable future. After his arrest in May on accusations of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act alongside 26 other YSL associates, including Gunna.

After digging deeper into the 56-count indictment, ABC News discovered that various Thugger tracks and lyrics from 2016 to 2021 are being cited and used against him as evidence in the case. Among the Thug songs are “Anybody,” “Take it to Trial,” “Ski” featuring Gunna and “Slatty.”

The prosecution is justifying its use of lyrics in court, claiming that Thug’s statements are “preserving, protecting and enhancing the reputation, power, and territory of the enterprise [YSL].”

Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney, believes YSL is directly responsible for “over 50” homicides caused by gun violence since 2015.

Thugger’s “Slatty” verse, in which he raps, is widely highlighted in the indictment. “I killed his man in front of his momma, like fuck lil’ bruh, sister and his cousin/I shoot out/Kill ’em, not leaving a trace.”

Young Thug’s attorneys will make their bond arguments in court on June 2. Prosecutors have also filed a motion to remove Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, from the case due to an alleged conflict of interest.

Gunna Denied Bail In The Atlanta RICO Case Against YSL

Gunna and Young Thug were unexpectedly caught and imprisoned on RICO charges just a few weeks ago. There are currently 28 YSL members in prison, and the situation does not appear to be favorable for anyone involved. However, prosecutors have charged Young Thug of being the ringleader of YSL, and they believe he was in the planning of several violent actions.

The rapper found himself in it all, and he and his lawyer appeared before a court to request release. He wasn’t given bond, according to reporter Jewel Wicker, while his trial date got scheduled for January 9th, 2023. However, he’s currently suspected of being a YSL commander who played a key role in a number of violent incidents.

“I was just in court where a judge denied bond for Gunna and set his trial date for Jan. 9, 2023. Prosecutors allege YSL is a gang, not just a record label. They also alleged Gunna serves in a “command” role,” Wicker stated. “Prosecutors said Gunna is a “documented” gang member and that he and Williams “direct their troops” to commit violent acts. The judge said his biggest concern was witness tampering. Gunna’s attorney can file a renewed motion for bond at a later date.”

Dave Chappelle’s assailant said he was homeless and bisexual when questioned why he came at the famed comedian.

Isaiah Lee, the man accused of assaulting Dave Chappelle during one of his shows, he wasn’t happy with the controversial comedian’s jokes because they were “triggering.” Lee said Chappelle’s performance affected him since he was homeless, bisexual, and a victim of molestation.

Lee explained to the New York Post from the Los Angeles Twin Towers Correctional Facility: “I identify as bisexual… and I wanted him to know what he said was triggering. I wanted him to know that next time, he should consider first running his material by people it could affect.”

He continued: “I’m also a single dad and my son is five,” before going on to say that he’d been homeless and that Chappelle’s jokes about the homeless offended him. “It’s a struggle and I wanted Dave Chappelle to know it’s not a joke.”

Lee pleaded not guilty to four misdemeanor charges in total, including violence and assault with a deadly weapon.

“I told him my mother and grandmother, who fought for his civil rights to be able to speak, would be upset at the things he said,” Lee continued, claiming that Chappelle replied, “Now your story will die with you, son.”

“As the District Attorney of Fulton County my number one focus is targeting gangs, and there’s a reason for that, they are committing conservatively 75 to 80% of all of the violent crime that we are seeing within our community and so they have to be rooted out of our community,” she stated. “It does not matter what your notoriety is, what your fame is if you come to Fulton County Georgia and you commit crimes, and certainly if those crimes are in furtherance of street gangs that you are going to become a target and a focus of this district attorney’s office, and we are going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”
