Benzino Accuses Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame For Eminem Induction

Benzino promised to quit mocking Eminem after years of doing so, but the former Source publisher is still weighing in on Slim Shady’s entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.

According to reports, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alum isn’t overjoyed with the news. Benzino attacked the Rock Hall on Twitter on Wednesday (May 4) for disregarding Black Hip Hop musicians that paved the path for Eminem to stroll down the red carpet.

“Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s,” he said. “They have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.”

Someone at Rolling Stone shared this sentiment, stating in another tweet, “Eminem has now been inducted to the Rock and Roll of Fame before countless Black hip-hop pioneers who paved the way for his success. What message does that send?”

“So where’s Nas, Eric B. and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, EPMD, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers?? GTFOH.” Benzino quoted the tweet.

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 were the first pioneering rap group to get inducted into the Rock Hall in 2007. They are often credited as the forefathers of conscious Hip Hop. In 2009, Run-DMC got honored, and the Beastie Boys got honored in 2012, shortly after MCA died of cancer.

N.W.A. got admitted in 2016, 2Pac in 2017, The Notorious B.I.G. in 2020, JAY-Z in 2021, and Eminem in 2022, bringing the total number of Hip Hop acts honored to nine in the Rock Hall’s 36-year existence.

Jack Harlow has been on a spectacular rise in recent years, and with each step, he’s only adding to his Hip Hop history. We  received singles such as “Nail Tech” and “First Class,” two of the 13 songs that will be out.

The tracklist for Come Home The Kids Miss You was out recently by Harlow, and it features Justin Timberlake, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Pharrell.

Harlow provided a behind-the-scenes look at working with Skateboard P earlier today. The duo appeared to be working their magic, and we’ll hear about it in their song “Movie Star.” “This is history,” says Pharrell in the video.

Meanwhile, Harlow recently told Rolling Stone that he wants to make music for “all moods.” He cited albums like Kanye West’s Late Registration and Drake’s Nothing Was the Same as examples of albums having a plethora of tracks.

“Is it a song that you want to hear at any moment, in all moods,” Harlow said. “Or is it meant for just one mood  for the club or before you work out? I have to get over my burning desire to make all of the songs on an album ‘always,’ because then it never cuts through. But I listen to f*ckin’ Late Registration — so many ‘always’ on there. Nothing Was the Same? So many ‘always’ on there. But you can’t let it steer the ship.”

The rapper recently went off on trolls on Twitter, claiming that they “suck the joy and life out of EVERYTHING.”

SZA is going off the internet at least for now because of the trolls. We previously reported that TDE hitmaker said on the red carpet of the 2022 Met Gala that her fans will get a treat to a “SZA Summer” now that her album is ready for release. However, witnessing her wears, her stuff with Hollywood’s who’s who drew the attention of a few fans who remembered SZA’s post from last month, “Not going to any more award shows or events til my album out.”

That wasn’t the case, and after going through hard times, SZA let loose. “I swear to God if I didn’t accidentally fall in love w music .. I would NEVER EVER COME OUTSIDE,” she stated.

“Ya’ll suck the joy and life out of EVERYTHING. Thank God for purpose cause Outside of art it’s f*ck y’all . Now run w that,” she continued. “And please know when I drop anything it’s not for y’all . It’s to free my *****ing self .” She also updated her Instagram Story, revealing that she was making changes to her social media channels in order to better manage her mental health.

“Get off the internet. The internet is demonic,” she stated. “I deleted my TikTok for mental health awareness month, I encourage everyone to delete anything anyone and everything that doesn’t serve you. Bless.”

A$AP Rocky Drops “D.M.B.” Teaser Video

A$AP Rocky has released a preview for his new music, “D.M.G,” which will be out on Thursday. The long awaited film got advertised as an AWGE production starring A$AP Rocky.

Rocky and Rihanna were hanging out on a fire escape, in Latest York, got an approach by paparazzi in the new teaser. In July 2021, the pair were filming a video in New York.

Rocky first disclosed the new music in a since-deleted Instagram post on Tuesday, revealing that Skepta, Hector Delgado, Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo, and D33J all contributed to the album’s production. Rihanna appears in the teaser and on the artwork, it is uncertain if she will appear in the new single.

Rocky stated in an interview with GQ last year that Rihanna has “definitely” inspired his next songs, regardless of whether she features in the songs.

“I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of,” he stated. “It’s just a different point of view.”

Rocky debuted two new songs during his appearance at the Smoker’s Club Festival in San Bernardino, California, last weekend. Playboi Carti, who also played at the festival, featured on one of the tracks.

Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, and others from Gotti’s CMG record company are all known to attend.

Gotti announced earlier this month that Lehla Samia, the label’s first R&B singer and first female artist, signed to the company. Gotti bought her a pink Lamborghini Urus to commemorate the signing.

On Friday, July 15, 2022, “Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash” will take place. Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, May 6th.

Eminem inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2022. The Rock Hall released the final roster on Wednesday.

“Unbridled controversy. Unparalleled talent. Unmatched superstardom,” The Hall stated as it introduces Eminem on its website. “As the single best-selling artist of the 2000s, a 15-time Grammy winner, and the first artist to have ten consecutive Number One debut albums on the Billboard 200, Eminem’s accolades speak for themselves. His world-renowned status solidified hip-hop as the most commercially successful music on the planet.”

Eminem has performed at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony twice before. He gave a speech inducting Run-D.M.C. into the Rock Hall in 2009, and he returned in 2021 to perform “Rock the Bells” with LL Cool J.

The Hall of Fame finished voting for a fan ballot last week, which influenced their ultimate decision on the class roster. Eminem came in second place in the poll.

Dolly Parton, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, Carly Simon, and Lionel Richie are among the other members of the class.

“Congratulations to our newest Inductees, and to all the fans who helped them get here,” the Hall stated on its website, before announcing the date for the induction ceremony. “We’re excited to celebrate with you on Saturday, November 5th in Los Angeles.”

Dave Chappelle Assaulted On Stage At The LA Festival Show

Dave Chappelle attacked on stage by a man armed with replica gun according to the police. He rushed to the stage and tackled the comedian while performing at the Los Angeles comedy festival on Tuesday.

Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the attack early Wednesday. According to police, the man who stormed the stage armed with an imitation gun that can fire a knife blade.

The man climbed to the front of the stage and raced toward Chappelle in several videos and descriptions posted online. At least one video depicted the comedian collapsing to the ground, with many others racing to arrest him.

The assailant, who was a member of the audience, got apprehended shortly by the venue’s security team and sent to the hospital with “superficial injuries,” according to the LAPD. The unidentified man was on a stretcher with his elbow at an awkward angle in a video shared online purporting to show the attacker.

Chappelle was part of the Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival, which runs from April 28 to May 8 at various locations. Chappelle’s show took place in the Hollywood Bowl amphitheater, which also featured Chris Rock, Leslie Jones, and Jon Stewart.

According to legal records obtained by the journal, their separation is due to “irreconcilable issues,” with the end of their union set for Monday, May 2nd.

Mustard, whose real name is Dijon McFarlane, married to Thierry and has three children ranging in age from two to ten. He’s asking for joint legal and physical custody with his ex at the moment.

“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life,” he said. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”

According to sources close to the “Sunflower” singer, Post and his girlfriend celebrated their upcoming baby with a private celebration in Southern California this past weekend, surrounded by their closest relatives and friends.

The baby mama is “not someone who has spent any time in the spotlight,” according to the Stoney hitmaker, yet the two have been spending plenty of quiet time together establishing their relationship and planning to raise a family.

It’s unclear when Malone will begin fatherhood, but his anticipated third studio album is set to drop on June 3rd.
