Dr. Dre And Eminem Scale Billboard 200 Top 10 After Halftime Show

Dr. Dre and Eminem both appeared at the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show. Their presence add immense credibility to their respective hip-hop careers. The two legends has entered Billboards upper chat again. 

 

According to Billboard, Curtain Call: The Hits by Eminem has scaled up from number 126 to 8 on the Billboard 200. This marks the first time since March 2006 to hit the top 10. 

 

The compilation project, that came out for the first time to hit number 1 when it was released in December 2005, received about 30,000 album-equivalent units during the week after the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show. It marked about 256 percent sales increase. 

 

Also featuring hits that include “My Name Is,” “Stan,” and “Loose Yourself.” Eminem performed the latter at the Super Bowl, Curtain Call: The Hits. 

 

Last week, Eminem’s song hit  49th best-selling album in the U.S. in 2021 and the first rap album that will spend more than 500 weeks on the U.K.’s charts for album. The album added 673,000 sales units to 7 million and still counting. 

 

For Dr. Dre, Dr. his 2001 album has also climbed up the chart into Billboard 200 top 10 after swinging from No. 108 to No. 9. In sales, the album has received about 220 percent sales increase.

Pusha T’s album release day is fast approaching. The album received input from the board of Kanye West’s all-star production team. Pusha’s fans are eagerly waiting to find out what Pusha has been cooking behind the scene. 

 

Recently, Pusha appeared on Gillie Da Kid and Million Dollarz Worth of Game by Wallo’s podcast. During the appearance, Pusha announced that he will be collaborating with Jay-Z to wet fan’s appetites. 

 

Also, Pusha spoke about his history of collaboration with Hov. He revealed that the Brooklyn-bred billionaire and him will collaborate in his upcoming DAYTONA follow-up. 

 

“I got three songs with him now … something from my new album,” he said. “I don’t know if I was supposed to say that, but I’m up with y’all, though, we here.”

 

Previously, Jay-Z and Pusha T have had collab two times. The first time was on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West and the second time was on 2016’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous.” 

 

Although, Pusha believes Jigga and him have similar commonalities when who has the best lyrics is considered, just admitted that Jay-Z might just be the best option. 

 

Pusha has responded Carl Chery tweet earlier, “Welp this album is abt feeding the conscious mind, I hope you aren’t disappointed.” Carl Chery is the Head of Urban Music at Spotify. Pusha tweeted, “I’m growing up Carl.”

Conway the Machine is getting ready to release his upcoming album God Don’t Make Mistakes via Eminem’s Shady Records. The album is said for release on Friday (February 25). However, he is still sharing new new music. 

 

Conway released a new 14-track mixtape he called Greetings Earthlings on Saturday (February 19). He was rapping over beats from rappers like J. Cole, Kanye West, Baby Keem, and Young Thug in the mixtape. He also included features from Westside Gunn, 2 Chainz, Jae Skeese, Benny The Butcher, and so on. 

 

“spent my birthday Cooking up a plate for y’all and it’s All star weekend too so I’m in a good mood,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “here’s Something to hold y’all over until the 25th.”

 

The new album, God Don’t Make Mistakes, will also include his latest singles “Piano Love” and “John Woo Flick.” The two singles appeared on the new mixtapes, Greetings Earthlings, he released on Saturday (February 19). 

 

He had an appearance on the Bootleg Kev Podcast where he received that his deal with Griselda and Shady Records is no longer effective.

50 Cent Reacts To Fat-shame Memes and Teases. 50 Cent has responded to the tease and memes that followed his performance at the Super Bow LVI Pepsi Halftime Show. His response wasn’t what anyone might expect. “LOL.” 

50 Cent on Instagram replied to those teasing him and fat-shaming him after the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show. He appeared with other rappers: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.

“They’re just teasing me because they know I can drop the weight. That’s why I laugh with them. Fat shaming only applies when your ashamed of your fat. LOL,” the rapper posted on Instagram. 

The fat-shame response came after he appeared upside down as he belted out his club banger halfway similar to what he did in 2003. 

Also in appearance were LeBron James and Lady Gaga. The show went on a higher with Dre and Snoop’s “Next Episode” after which 50 Cent followed them.

Kanye West loses music sponsorship deal with Apple immediately he announced “Donda 2” Stem Player. Ye has earlier announced that his album, Donda 2, will not be available on any streaming platform other than his own, Stem Player. This means that “Donda 2” will not be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and so on. 

It became clearer yesterday (Feb., 18) that Amazon was not pleased with Ye’s decision. Perhaps, it is what the streaming platforms might consider an “anti-streaming revolution.” 

On Friday (Feb 18), Kanye shared a text from Demian that reads “Please inform Ye that the apple is no longer doing the sponsorship deal.” In the caption, he wrote, “Duh” with laughing and eye roll emojis. 

Not long after, Kanye West shared “Randy” text which requested him to cut a $2 million check for the Miami listening event. He later says, “I love how Apple only sees artist in only one way,” “They’ll sit with Daniel Ek but won’t meet with Ye. However, Philly’s Public Health Department attempted to make Nikki Minaj feel bad by making her tweet on Thursday to contradict her cousin in Trinidad’s friend’s testicle story with an eyes emoji.
