Usher says being an R&B star is not a priority to him. He featured on The Shade Room interview where he said it is too shallow for him to call himself the king of R&B. 

The Host said “And you your catalogue is crazy.  You marked your place in this in this move. Are you the king of R&B?  Just yes or no.” 

Usher answered “I mean I can’t answer that type of question. I’m a king of something. At least my sonts. No but I feel like you know if I can find myself to just being a king of harambee that will be too shortsighted. I love R&B. R&B is a sequel to too many many many many things. Like you know I love R&B and if people have given me that title of someone you know that has consistently done done what I have done I will take it. But it’s so much more than just you know just been that.”

Don’t forget that Usher and Chris recently allegedly engaged in a fight. A post on TMZ showed the two RnB rappers in a good spirit. During an interview with the Big Boy, Usher said “Me and Chris would kill the world if we ever did something together like that. I’m not saying it’s Verzuz, but I’ma just say this, if that ever happens it would be one of the biggest things that anybody has ever experienced in entertainment in celebration of two people who love each other.”
