CORDAE Has Inked a Partnership with the Undefeated and ESPN to Fundraise for HBCU Scholarships
The Maryland Rapper has made a partnership with Disney Dreamers Academy and ESPN’s The Undefeated to raise funds for scholarships for underprivileged communities attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Cordae is expected to appear in the forthcoming Liberated/Music for the Movement Vol. 3 EP after which the proceeds will be donated to HBCU STUDENTS. Both Disney and ESPN’s The Undefeated agreed to match Cordae’s contribution in to the Kitty. Cordae expressed his concerns to the young people especially those who cannot afford University education and promised to use his privileges to help and finance tuition for underprivileged students. He claimed that helping a few souls to achieve their dreams makes him satisfied and happy.
“So many people need the money more than I do,” He explained. “I feel as though when you’re in such a blessed position, it’s important to pay that forward to be a blessing to others. It’s especially important to me to invest in our youth and the future. Young people are the future of our society and the world, so we must do all we can to ensure they are properly positioned to succeed.”
In the Liberated/Music for the Movement Vol. 3 EP. Cordae is expected to contribute in “What’s Life” collaboration by Friday June 18th. The collaboration will also involve songs from Lucky Daye and Chloe Bailey as he will also perform as a special guest on Stephen A. Smith’s Stephen’s A’s World on + in June eighteenth celebration. Contrary to his support and enthusiasm to education, Cordae attended Towson University but dropped in 2018 to concentrate on music full time. He said that he dropped out of College because it menat him feel miserable because he knew he was supposed to be making music.
In his Just Until EP, he has worked with big names like Q-Tip AND Young THUG with production credits from Raphael Saadiq, Terrace Martin, Take a Day trip and Car
