Kelly Clarkson Has To Dig Deep Into His Pockets For Alimony

Singer Kelly Clarkson (39) has to pay a tenth of her income to her ex Brandon Blackstock (44) during the settlement of her divorce. In addition to that $150,000 a month, she also has to transfer just under $50,000 a month for the living expenses of the couple’s two children.

Kelly and Brandon announced last year that they are splitting after seven years of marriage. They have seven-year-old daughter River and five-year-old son Remington.

According to The Blast , which holds the court papers , Kelly’s ex has indicated that he wants to make a career move and run the couple’s ranch full-time. He previously worked at his father’s Hollywood agency and was the agent of, among others, Blake Shelton.

The singer would also have to pay the now considerably increased lawyer costs from her ex. It would be more than a million dollars. The alimony amounts that have now been determined only apply to the period in which the divorce is being settled. A final amount will be determined later.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also been in a divorce for years. Brad was assigned joint custody of the five minor children he shares with his ex in May. Because their oldest son Maddox is already of age, he is out of the scheme.
