Kevin Hart’s Wheelchair Misadventure: Hilarious Race Against Former NFL Player Leaves Him Sidelined.
In a surprising turn of events, the urban and hip-hop comedy scene’s favorite, Kevin Hart, finds himself confined to a wheelchair due to a comedic showdown gone awry. The 44-year-old comedian, known for his high-energy performances, took on former NFL player Stevan Ridley, 34, in a 35-meter footrace, aiming to settle the age-old debate of speed. However, the friendly challenge resulted in unexpected consequences that left Kevin nursing multiple muscle tears and nursing his ego.
In a candid Instagram video, the Jumanji star shared his experience, humorously cautioning those above 40 about respecting their age.
Reflecting on his injuries, Kevin playfully attributed his plight to attempting “young stuff” beyond his physical capabilities. Despite his self-proclaimed “pretty fast” status, the good-natured wager didn’t unfold as planned, leading to his current predicament.
His candid self-assessment continued as he listed his injuries – a torn lower abdomen and hip abductors – with a touch of jest: “I don’t know what that is, but I tore them, I tore those, too. I can’t walk.”
Taking a playful jab at himself, Kevin humorously declared victory, saying, “Tell you what you just lost, son. You just lost every opportunity of me going to racing you anytime soon.
“It’s over. What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing? Why did I even race? Stupidest s*** ever, now I can’t walk.”
With his trademark wit, Kevin acknowledged the road to recovery, estimating, “You know I’m out; I got about six to eight.” referring to the potential duration of his wheelchair-bound situation.
This isn’t the first time Kevin Hart has faced physical setbacks. Four years ago, he underwent surgery and rehabilitation after a car crash in Malibu left him with a fractured spine. The incident, where he was a passenger in a 970 Plymouth Barracuda driven by his friend Jared Black, serves as a reminder of his resilience in bouncing back from adversity.
