Lil Wayne Added To Performance Lineup For 2022 Bet Awards
The 2022 BET Awards performance schedule now includes Lil Wayne. The Cash Money superstar will play with other artists that have already been revealed, like as Babyface, Chance The Rapper, Jack Harlow, Joey Bada$$, Latto, Lizzo, and Roddy Ricch, according to a press release that was out on Thursday (June 23).
Big Freedia, who is now enjoying Beyoncé’s success after the release of the single “Break My Soul,” Get Out actor Daniel Kaluuya, Idris Elba, Irv Gotti, Janelle Monáe, and Ne-Yo are some of the presenters for the awards. The ceremony’s announcer, MC Lyte, will be back, and DJ Diamond Kuts will take over as DJ.
Diddy will get the Lifetime Achievement Award in addition to the other honors that will be given out. According to BET CEO Scott Mills, “Diddy has always been a pioneering force in our community, breaking barriers, achieving unprecedented heights, blazing new trails, and, in so doing, raising the bar for all of us.”
Music icons such as Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen Latifah, Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Samuel Jackson, Lionel Richie, and New Edition have all won the Lifetime Achievement Award in the past.
On Sunday in Los Angeles, the Microsoft Theater will host the 2022 BET Awards (June 26). Additionally, they will be broadcast simultaneously on Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Pop, TV Land, and VH1. The program will be simultaneously shown on BET Africa, BET France, My5 and Sky On-Demand in the United Kingdom, and BET Pluto in the UK and Brazil.
