When Security stormed the stage during Patti LaBelle’s holiday performance, they whisked the startled singer to safety.
On Saturday, December 10, during her performance in Milwaukee, Patti LaBelle was abruptly removed from the stage due to a rumored bomb threat. At the time of the terrible incident, the 78 years old Iconic singer was seated at her microphone during a holiday concert at the Riverside Theatre. Patti screams, “Hold up, wait!” as they cover her and exit her out of the venue.
Afterwards, authorities ordered an evacuation, according to police report release at 11:25pm. Shared by a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter, “Regarding the bomb threat in the 100 block of W. Wisconsin, all patrons have been safely evacuated,” the tweet read, “Police are clearing the facility at this time. The investigation is fluid and on going.”
In another video taken outside the Riverside Theatre and posted by a concertgoer, evacuated crowd hung around to get an update on the situation. “We don’t know if we can go back inside to the venue,” a woman is heard saying in the clip. “It would be up to Riverside Theatre if we can go back inside but for now everything is on halt.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the building was searched by police K9 units around 1:13am on Sunday and no explosive devices were found. Pabst Theater group, the concert organizer, also said in a statement, “Tonight’s at Patti LaBelle show at the Riverside Theatre has been postponed following a bomb threat investigated by Milwaukee Police Department.”
