According to him, he said he wanted to record even when he was in the hospital. He said he was trying but it wasn’t really coming.

When he had an interview with the Rolling Stone, Lil Tjay detailed his experience. He also mentioned how 50 Cent called him. In his word, the rapper said, “Every artist needs pain or something to feed off of. This right here, you shake this shit off. You got the length for greatness. You going to be bigger than ever.”
50 Cent could relate with him because he too had a similar experience. He survived multiple gunshots a few years back.
