Big Sean has been anticipating the future with great excitement as he prepares to welcome his first child with longtime girlfriend Jhené Aiko, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t also taking time to acknowledge his past successes.

The 34-year-old has responded to his fans’ cries and shared the 18-track project to DSPs to mark the 10-year anniversary of his 2012 Detroit mixtape. It includes features from J. Cole, Mike Posner, Juicy J, French Montana, Kendrick Lamar, and more, as well as an unheard song from 2019 titled “More Thoughts.”

On Sunday, September 4, Sean announced the exciting news via social media. Before Detroit touched down at midnight, the Finally Famous hitmaker took some time to address fans’ burning inquiries about the making of the mixtape.

“Cole and I were working in studios next to one another at NO ID Studio at the time, and we had been passing each other every day for a while. That is how “24k of Gold” was created “He described his fabled alliance with the leader of Dreamville.

Kanye West Called Out By Big Sean Over Drake

Kanye West Called Out By Big Sean Over Drake

Big Sean and Kanye West are currently at odds. Big Sean recently took a hit with Kanye because of his admiration of Drake.

In an interview with Drink Champs N.O.R.E and DJ EFN last month, Kanye had some controversial things to say about his colleagues. Big Sean was one of those who caught Kanye’s anger. Kanye revealed in the interview that recruiting Sean for his company G.O.O.D Music was one of the worst things he’s ever done.

When the news reached Big Sean’s ears, he immediately took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Kanye’s interview. A month later, Sean’s interview is here for Drink Champs.

Big Sean didn’t want to mentioned Kanye in his interview. He shared his take on several dramatic interactions with Kanye over the course of his career, including under pressure to fire a friend of his, revisiting G.O.O.D. music for the money he owed and trying to make up for it.

Sean also touched on Kanye’s relationship with Drake, which is now in good standing after a rough patch in recent years. While Sean is happy to see the two crush their beef, he feels that Kanye admires Drake a lot more than he does, even though they are beefing.

“It’s not all about the money. It’s the principal. I haven’t done a “7 AM On Bridle Path,” I haven’t put it in nothing. I had an issue with all the respect being paid to somebody who publicly did that. And I know people be going through things, making up and that’s beautiful. I want to see my brothers together, but to me, I take that personal.”

Kanye tends to rub people the wrong way. Hopefully the two can settle their differences since Sean has been around Kanye for a long time. You can check out the Big Sean section on Drink Champs below.
