Eric Bellinger featured on the neighborhood podcast with BigBoyTV and talked about writing songs for Usher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, and so on. 

Big Boy asked him how he was able to convince his parents and church folks about his musical career. The RnB singer said, “Yeah, well it was a, it was an easy talk with my parents. My mom and dad supported me 100% no matter what. But the church people, I grew up in church dedicated like Simba when I’m a baby, like this is our guy. We’ve been grooming him, he’s been singing 8am service, 10am like period for the the world. The Bible you know u mean so when they found out that I wanted to di RnB, they was not in support and they let me know loud.” 

He added, “Of course I did it, I kept going and it was the thing where u had to just leave the church.”
