Fetty Wap, the renowned whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, has received a six-year prison sentence. This is due to his involvement in running an expansive drug ring based in Long Island. This verdict comes after his bail was revoked last August due to allegations of firearm possession and making threats during a FaceTime call.

The artist pleaded guilty to the conspiracy of distributing 500 grams or more of cocaine. Prosecutors argued for a lengthier sentence, contending that Fetty had glamorized the drug trade through his music, amassing millions in the aftermath of the release of “Trap Queen” back in 2015.

During the sentencing, Breon Peace, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District, emphasized the necessity of sending a clear message to young admirers who might be tempted to engage in drug-related activities. Fetty Wap’s appearance before Judge Joanna Seybert at the federal court in Central Islip. N.Y., marked the day of his sentencing.

The arrest of Fetty Wap on federal drug charges occurred in October 2021 at New York’s Citi Field. It was just as he was preparing to perform at the Rolling Loud Festival. The allegations pointed towards his involvement in a substantial drug ring in Long Island, facilitating the transportation of over. 100 kilograms of opioids, crack, and cocaine from the West Coast for distribution purposes.

Following his arrest, the FBI seized 16 kilograms of cocaine. 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, firearms including handguns and rifles, various ammunition, and a staggering $1.5 million in cash.

Despite the impending prison sentence, the 31-year-old rapper expressed gratitude to his fans and maintained an optimistic outlook. In a video shared online, he conveyed his appreciation for the support, showcasing resilience and unwavering determination.

On the musical front, Fetty Wap managed to have a moderately successful year in 2022. His viral sensation, “Sweet Yamz,” not only gained popularity on TikTok but also garnered the coveted title of “Song of the Year”. This was from the esteemed Snoop Dogg.

No one can give Fetty Wap a break. With the arrival of his The Butterfly Effect album in October of last year, he was in line for an outstanding comeback, but a week later he was detained at Rolling Loud on federal drug accusations, and he is now awaiting the outcome of that case.

A female fan accidentally spilled drinks on the 31-year-old at a music event, and cameras later caught him slapping her. The viral incident is said to have occurred this past weekend, on July 2, during the Saturday in the Park festival in Grandview Park in Sioux City, according to XXL.

Looking at the situation, it appears that Fetty was having fun with some fans outside the venue when a crowd push forced a woman carrying an open bottle of water to slip forward, spilling some of her drink on the “My Way” singer.

Although the spill might not have been on purpose (or maybe it was – who knows? ), the New Jersey native obviously took it personally as he first smacked the woman’s bottle out of her hand and then struck her on the side of the head.

In lighter news, Fetty Wap has been enjoying time with his loved ones before his trial. In his home state’s big opening of her lash business in May, cameras captured him supporting his girlfriend.

Fetty Wap has kept his nose clean since posting bail following his multi-million dollar cocaine bust last November. But it appears that some people find it amusing to try to get under his skin.

Recently, the New Jersey rapper was relaxing at the beach when TikTok sensation Steven Jo approached him and inquired about his girlfriend. As Fetty rose from his beach chair and faced Jo, the scene quickly became hostile.

“Who’s your shorty?” Fetty inquired, and Jo responded, “My shorty over there. Damn, why you running up on me like you gangsta, n-gga? You see the gold in my mouth I’m a street n-gga.”

Things heated up even more when Steven Jo threatened to beat up Fetty “accidentally.” The “Trap Queen” rapper mistook the threat for a joke and smiled, before altering his tone and confronting the prankster.

Steven Jo tried to make amends by apologizing and explaining that he was a comedian, but Fetty Wap remained enraged by the hoax. When Jo offered a handshake and apologized once more, cooler heads prevailed.

“That’s all you had to say, gang,” Fetty said as he shook the man’s hand. “Listen bro, we good now. I didn’t know. Bro, you gotta understand, I’m by myself and I hear you wanna beat my ass, like what? I don’t play like that, gang.”

Fetty Wap Describes Why He Fell Off From Music Career.

Fetty Wap claims that he took a break from performing due to depression.

“If I could say so myself, I’d say it was more so the people I had around me wasn’t experienced. Like, nobody was experienced, honestly… And what happened, it was just like, in the process—you know how it go, you feel me?”

“In the process, I’m tryin’ to figure out why this goin’ on, why this goin’ on, and then you know, the finance part, like yo, what’s up with this, what’s up with that,” the rapper told Fat Joe on Instagram Live.

When it came to finances, however, he claimed his record label wasn’t assisting him.

“I felt like I had to do everything myself!” continued Fetty. “For the tours, I put up all the bread for the tours. I paid for all the tour buses. Everything came out of my expenses. It was like, ‘I gotta pay y’all, but I’m paying for everything else!’”

After all he had to deal with, he eventually acknowledged that he “kinda got depressed in a way.”

On Friday, November 26, label owner Nitt Da Gritt responded to Fetty’s claim that he hadn’t helped and hit back at Fetty’s claim that he’s miserable.

Rapper Fetty Wap Faces a Life Sentence Without Bail Over Interstate Heroin Trafficking

Rapper Fetty Wap is coping with life in federal jail, having been arrested by FBI agents at the Rolling Loud Festival in New York City on Thursday. The feds had been tracking Fetty and his crew for months, according to MTO Information.

He was arrested in a drug conspiracy with his accomplices to distribute heroin, crack cocaine, and fentanyl in California and the New York region.

In his capacity as a “redistributor”, he allegedly utilized private jets.

The artist, also known as William Junior Maxwell II, was one of six men charged by prosecutors in Brooklyn with conspiracy to distribute narcotics, according to a statement from the US Department of Justice on Friday.

Wap and five others are accused of trafficking more than 100 pounds of heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine from the west coast and selling it in New Jersey and Long Island, according to the New York Post.

One of his alleged associates, Anthony Cyntje, is a New Jersey corrections officer.

Anthony Cyntje, according to prosecutors, is one of his accomplices. He works as an officer in the New Jersey.

If found guilty, Fetty Wap faces a potential sentence of life in prison.
