Future Claims Artists Are Trying To Imitate His Release Date

In advance of the release of his new album, I Never Liked You, Future claims that too many musicians are attempting to release new music at the same time as him. Future made the accusation earlier this week on Twitter.

“Everybody wanna drop when I drop,” he wrote.

While the Atlanta rapper didn’t mention names, a handful of artists have albums coming out on April 29th. Cocodrillo Turbo by Action Bronson, Blue Water Road by Kehlani, Mahal by Toro y Moi, Faye Webster’s Car Therapy Sessions EP, and more will be available later this week. Apart from this Friday, Pusha T released It’s Almost Dry on April 22 and Black Star is releasing No Fear of Time on May 3.

I Never Liked You features Kanye West, FKA Twigs, Babyface Ray, and other artists, though Future hasn’t revealed a tracklist. The rapper wears a purple silk-like suit with a matching sleep mask on the album’s cover art. On Valentine’s Day of this year, Future released the single “Worst Day.”

Future’s new album arrives days after GQ named him the “greatest rapper alive” in a new profile.

“I’m putting myself out there,” Future said of his new album. “Sharing my lifestyle with the world. Sharing my pain with the world. Sharing my ups, sharing my downs with the entire universe. I believe in the energy of the universe and manifestation. That’s why I’m giving myself, because I’m willing to correct myself. I don’t want to just…be wrong. I’m willing to give you all of me, so you can tell me how to build on me, and make me a better me.”

Future Reveals That He Earns A Million Dollars Per Show

Future rose to prominence in the music industry in the 2010s. For his distinctive style of rapping, the Atlanta native smashed records, topped charts, and received honors at the age of 38.

The “Life is Good” rapper went on a Twitter rant yesterday, revealing how much it costs to book him for a show. He stated, “How many trap n*ggas u kno can get 1mil ah show??? #IMDATN*GGA” This is a large increase from previous years. Back in 2015, TMZ reported that the rapper charged $150,000 to perform for 45 minutes.

After seeing his tweet, Twitter users showered him with praise. Several people declared him the greatest of all time, while others pleaded with him to release his album. The rapper then tweeted a reminder, “seven more days,” referring to the release date of his next album.

He captioned a photo on Instagram on April 13 with the phrase “4.29 title TBA.” He’s been teasing the album for the past month, even revealing a couple of artists who would be on it. He wrote “BABYFACE RAY on my album” and “YE on my album fasho” in tweets on April 7.

Following the release of High Off Life in 2020, this will be his first solo album in two years. The project featured artists such as Drake, Lil Durk, NBA Youngboy, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, and many others, and included 21 tracks.

Future Says His Exes Are “Toxic Women”

Future, whom people referred to as “Hip Hop’s Toxic King,” but he refuses to accept the title. People have noticed his romantic relationships with Joie Chavis, Ciara, Lori Harvey, Larsa Pippen, and Dess Dior, which have often eclipsed his accomplishments. Some speculated that he was playing into his title after releasing the video for his single “Worst Day,” which featured controversial podcaster Kevin Samuels.

It didn’t take long for the public to criticize Future for teaming up with another “toxic” character who is also good in belittling women. During Future’s GQ cover story, he claimed he didn’t know Samuels before collaborating on the song video.

Future told the publication that he “probably wouldn’t have picked him” for the job if he was aware of Samuels’ record.

Future Speaks On Kevin Samuels

The video’s director chose Samuels, according to Future. “If I knew who he was before the video, I would’ve felt like it was a typical move,” he stated. “People associate me with being toxic. I would’ve overthought it.” Despite the toxicity label following him, The rapper indicated that he is not concerned with what others have to say about him or his past relationships.

“People have their own definition of what toxic is,”He said. “These women all were toxic to me. They just don’t want to admit it.”

Future Talks On His Relationship With Kanye West After Producing “Donda 2”

Future claims that he and Kanye West are much closer than the public realizes because he doesn’t post everything on social media. The executive producer of Donda 2 discussed his relationship with West during a new cover story for GQ, in which the outlet labels him the “best rapper alive.”

“Me and Kanye always had a relationship,” Future explains. “But it’s hard for people to understand, because I don’t put everything on Instagram. Kanye flew me to Paris in 2011 or 2012 to work on music. [Discussing] his clothing line before it came, his shoe business before it came. People don’t know I’ve been able to go to his house, and pull up right into the crib. We just never talked about it.”

West recently praised Future, describing him as “the most influential musician of the past ten years” on the Drink Champs podcast in 2021. When asked how he felt about the compliment, Future said it reminded him of the Paris vacation a decade ago.

Future Speaks On Why Kanye Called Him To Paris

“When he said that, I understood why he called me to Paris, even though I didn’t understand it at that time.” “I understood why we had certain conversations. I understood him being a part of ‘I Won.’ Even him having me write on certain [Kanye] albums that people don’t even understand I wrote on.”

He continues: “Sometimes not getting credit when you write with him because the love of the art is…I want it to be right. Top tier. Just being able to create and put those textures over different music, and being involved with something like that. And then later down the line in a priceless moment, him saying what he said on Drink Champs. The value of that statement. The value of the relationship as it continues to grow, the value of just treating people like they are priceless, instead of treating people like they got a dollar sign on them every time.”
