Lizzo Responds Assertively to Former Dancers’ ‘Sensationalized’ Lawsuit

Lizzo firmly denies allegations made by three ex-dancers who worked on her Special Tour, involving sexual harassment, fat-shaming, and a hostile working environment. Addressing the claims, Lizzo stated on Instagram that she does not condone inappropriate behavior and emphasizes the importance of respecting women. She also clarified that she would never criticize or terminate anyone based on their weight.

Lizzo’s legal representation in this case is powerful Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer, known for representing prominent figures like Chris Brown and Bill Cosby.

The former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, alleged that Lizzo pressured them into engaging with sexual performers during the tour in Amsterdam and Paris. One particular location, Bananen Bar in Amsterdam, was known for explicit acts with customers involving bananas.

Crystal Williams and Arianna Davis joined Lizzo’s team after competing on her Watch Out for the Big Grrrls Amazon Prime series but claim they were fired in the spring.

Interestingly, during Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, she performed “Break My Soul (Queen’s Mix)” without mentioning Lizzo’s name, despite her usual shoutouts to fellow artists. Instead, Beyoncé repeatedly referenced Erykah Badu.

In conclusion, Lizzo vehemently denies the allegations and emphasizes her commitment to promoting a respectful and inclusive work environment.

Lizzo Bullshits ‘Delusional’ Celebrity Beauty Standards

Lizzo Bullshits ‘Delusional’ Celebrity Beauty Standards

Lizzo is fed up with the high expectations people have of celebrities in terms of appearance, and she won’t let anyone tell her how to feel about herself.

The “Rumors” singer, who was sporting a bikini on Friday (January 6), hit back at the incessant abuse she receives regarding her appearance in an Instagram post.

Lizzo drew attention to how contradictory the comments are while also reminding detractors that her goal is to create art, not to conform to anyone’s body image ideals.

She began “The discourse around bodies is officially tired. The discourse around bodies is tired!”. “I have seen comments go from, ‘Oh my gosh, I liked you when you were thick! Why’d you lose weight? To, ‘Oh my gosh, why’d you get a BBL? I liked your body before.’ To, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so big. Ew. You need to lose weight – but for your health!’ To, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so little. You need to get ass or titties or something!’ To, ‘Oh my gosh, why did she get this work done? It’s just too much work!’

“Are we okay? Do you see the delusion?” Lizzo continued. “Do we realize that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards? Artists are here to make art! And this body is art! And I’ma do whatever I want with this body. I wish that comments costed y’all money so we could see how much time we are fucking wasting on the wrong thing. Can we leave that shit back there please?”

Not just Lizzo’s followers on social media have expressed their opinions about her figure. Even Kanye West chimed in with his two cents when discussing remarks made on social media in a Fox News interview from October.

Kanye said “When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots… on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, ‘When it’s actually unhealthy.”

Lizzo responded to him on stage during a concert that followed. In front of a crowd in Toronto, Lizzo remarked “I feel like everybody in America got my muthafuckin’ name in their muthafuckin’ mouth for no muthafuckin’ reason.”

“I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business,” and then asked the audience, “Can I stay here? Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?”

Aries Spears, a comedian, also said unsolicited things about Lizzo, likening her to the “shit emoji.” Fans of the artist promptly defended her, dragging Spears’ remarks for days.

Lizzo responds to Kanye West’s comments regarding her appearance after he said that criticism of her weight loss amounts to the “genocide of the Black race.”

In Toronto on Friday, the artist, 34, responded to West, 45, during her performance. Despite not naming West specifically, she made a reference to his comments. She added: ‘I’m minding my fat, Black, beautiful business.’

When West spoke with Tucker Carlson last week, he was scathing of Lizzo. According to him, everytime Lizzo makes a post about eating healthier, “media” and “bots” attack her to spread the message that being overweight is the new objective.

The concept was labeled “a genocide of the Black race” by West.

Lizzo addressed Kanye West’s criticisms of her body during her performance in Toronto on Friday, a day after the rapper said she was being exploited to further what he called a “genocide of the Black race.”

The singer, 34, appeared to respond to West’s 45-year-old comments, telling concert goers at Scotiabank Arena. : ‘I feel like everybody in America got my mother******* name in [their] mother******* mouth for no mother****** reason.’

On Thursday, West claimed to Tucker Carlson of Fox News that whenever Lizzo posts on social media about dieting, “bots” and “media” attack her to spread the notion that being overweight “is the new goal.”

Lizzo And Live Nation Commit $1 Million To Abortion Funds And Planned Parenthood

Lizzo and Live Nation joined forces to make a $1 million donation to Planned Parenthood and money for abortions after the Roe v. Wade ruling was overturned.

“I’m pledging $500k from my upcoming tour to Planned Parenthood. Live Nation agreed to match to make it 1 MILLION dollars,” the singer of “Grrrls” tweeted. She is one of the first famous people to express such support in public.

The pop artist then backtracked and said that some of the funds would also go to local abortion funds that are organizing in states and regions with more stringent legislation when some abortion rights advocates highlighted the advantages of doing so.

“We are going to give proceeds to @AbortionFunds as well! Thank you!,” In response to a user’s suggestion, she stated, “Lizzo please send the money directly to abortion funds!!! It would be greatly appreciated.”

Planned Parenthood is a well-funded organization, despite the fact that it is aggressively seeking donations. Abortion rights supporters have criticized it for not doing enough to make abortions safe and available in places that are more hostile to the practice, like Alabama, where independent clinics have forced to pick up the slack. Direct donations that can help local communities in need have been promoted by experts and organizations on the ground. Resources that list organizations other than Planned Parenthood have also been compiled by many publications.

Roe v. Wade

Several prohibitions were enacted in places like Oklahoma and Texas as a result of the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The largest women’s rights advocacy group in Hollywood, Women in Film, announced that it is now focusing on helping those living in the places where the verdict will have the greatest impact. Other famous Hollywood actors will pay for their employees’ medical bills and travel expenses.
