Jeezy Discusses Tupac's Influence On His Youth And Refers To His Albums As "My Bible"

Jeezy Discusses Tupac’s Influence On His Youth And Refers To His Albums As “My Bible”

Jeezy Discusses Tupac’s Influence On His Youth And Refers To His Albums As “My Bible”

Jeezy reflected on his early upbringing and said that Tupac had been a mentor to him as he navigated the streets. In a recent interview.

Jeezy claims that Tupac’s music played a significant role in teaching him how to “survive and navigate through the streets” when he was a young boy.

The Atlanta rapper discussed how the Hip-Hop legend influenced his early years in a recent interview with Drink Champs.

“Every morning before school, I listened to all Master P, 8Ball, MJG, but my favorite was Tupac,” Jeezy recalled. “It still is to this day because he stood for something. He had values, he had morals, and he had integrity, but I had never seen that before. ‘Cause my uncles would steal $20 out ya socks.”

Jeezy noted that because individuals close to him couldn’t mentor him as a young man, he had to go to outside influences. He claimed, “I couldn’t pull any information out of them.” “So, how I learned to survive and negotiate the streets—and I want to emphasize that because these guys that are coming up, 90 percent of it is surviving, well, 10 percent of it is music. It’s about surviving and figuring out what’s going on.

Tupac evolved into a staple of the young Yeezy’s listening.  “I listened to Tupac as if that was my Bible. How to move, how to handle situations, and was embedded in me. He was a revolutionary before I knew what that was. He actually had—he stood for something. And he would take those risks when everybody around me was so used to how they were livin’ that they didn’t want to try to live any better.”

“My Bible, at that time, no disrespect to the big homie [Biggie], was every Tupac album.”

Inmate Demands Access To Tupac's Estate, Says He Is Reincarnated

Inmate Demands Access To Tupac’s Estate, Says He Is Reincarnated

Inmate Demands Access To Tupac’s Estate, Says He Is Reincarnated

Tupac Shakur passed away more than twenty years ago, yet, his influence still dominates the hip-hop scene. Tupac is still revered, and the sorrow of his murder is never-endingly alluring.

Of course, Tupac’s popularity and value attract those who want a piece of the action. Tarnell Leon Jones, a prisoner at Colorado’s San Carlos Correctional Facility, is one example. Jones claims that because he is the late rapper, he is entitled to access to the estate.

He is Tupac Shakur’s reincarnation, according to Jones. Although Jones acknowledged that he does not resemble Tupac and that he is unaware of the rapper’s social security number, he was aware of both Tupac’s birthday and the occasion of his passing.

Some could object that this is information that is readily available online (and they would be correct), but Jones claims that it is proof that he is a reincarnate. Additionally, he stated that if medical professionals conducted some tests, they would discover that he has two blood types and possibly even two hearts. Additionally, he advised the judge to Google his entire name since it is Tupac’s “reincarnation name,” according to him. What this might mean is unclear.

However, a United States District Judge Hector Gonzalez wrote in his dismissal of Jones’ case.

“He also alleges that a backpack containing more than $1 million was ‘robbed’ from him, although he has not specified who took it or where this event occurred,” Gonzalez continued. “[Jones] seeks reimbursement for the medical expenses that he incurred because of these events.”

Boosie Badazz Strongly Disagrees With T-Pain’s Perspective On Tupac

T-Pain is facing backlash as a result of a Twitch chat with DJ Akademiks. T-Pain recently reconnected with Akademiks for a casual discussion about all things pop culture. During the discussion, T-Pain shared a viewpoint about Tupac Shakur that took listeners by surprise. Pain claims that Pac wouldn’t have garnered as much respect if he had succeeded in the age of social media or in the present Hip Hop culture.

“Pac would’ve gotten killed sooner and he would’ve gotten his ass ate the f*ck up lyrically,” T-Pain said. “Lyricism-wise, Pac would’ve got ridiculously murdered. Bro, Pac was a crazy lyricist in our time because ain’t nobody else have no platform… If the platforms would’ve been what they are now, Pac would’ve been ate the f*ck up […] I’m just saying what we look at as Pac’s greatest lyrics, right, is peanuts to what we hear today.”

T-Pain received immediate outrage after some of his remarks about Shakur went viral, and he even received criticism from his colleagues. Boosie Badazz was one of those who vehemently disagreed with Pain’s assessment of the late Rap icon, and he responded on Twitter.

“2Pac was a great lyricist U probably wouldn’t understand him if u never been through the struggles that this world brings !! @TPAIN I disagree [green check mark] the lyrics n songs these days last a couple years n there gone because they don’t have meaning .The lyrics don’t touch your heart.”

“I dont like when y’all sh*t on 2Pac.If he was living YALL wouldn’t step r talk about PAC n then death row n*ggasâ” he continued. “Why PAC music still hittin n yo favorite lyricist Not ?”
