Young Thug’s Attorney, Brian Steel, Taken Into Custody for Contempt of Court
Atlanta, GA – June 10, 2024: In a dramatic turn of events, Brian Steel, the attorney representing Young Thug in the ongoing YSL RICO trial, was taken into custody and held in contempt of court earlier today.
According to reports, Steel refused to disclose to Judge Ural Glanville how he learned of a private meeting between prosecutors and a key witness, Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland. Steel accused the court of coercion and witness intimidation, leading to a heated exchange with Judge Glanville.
Despite multiple warnings, Steel maintained his refusal to comply, resulting in his arrest. As he was led away, Steel requested a mistrial, which was denied by Judge Glanville.
The trial has been marred by controversy, with Steel’s arrest being the latest development. The YSL RICO trial has been ongoing since November 2023, with Young Thug facing charges of racketeering and violating Georgia’s anti-racketeering and gang laws.
