Roddy Ricch Admits That He Once Had Suicidal Thoughts

Roddy Ricch is a big star now, and he dropped his second album Live Life Fast last night to much fanfare.

But Roddy wasn’t always on top of his game. On his new track “Crash The Party”, Roddy offers up a spoken word explanation of a time he felt so low he thought about ending it all.

I was walkin’ through Compton one night at like— ahem
Like two a.m. in the morning
I just left my girl house, I found out she was on some bullshit
You know what I’m sayin’, and
I walked past the 91, I was walkin’ all the way down Central
Past the graveyard and shit
I had made a l— a right on Alondra, um
Walked up by the side of the airport
And I passed the hood, you know what I’m sayin’, and
And I went all the way to The Cedars
I had pulled up on my DJ at the time and
He was just tellin’ me keep my head up and sh*t like that
Sh*t was crazy, you know?
I felt like I wanted to die, I felt like I ain’t even wanna be here no more ’cause
I just— I ain’t have sh*t at the time, you know what I’m sayin’?
And music was all I really had, so
You know just from goin’ to jail and
F*cking around in the streets, I knew it wasn’t sh*t
So I had to just, keep my head up, keep goin’, get focused
Grind that shit out, you know what I’m sayin’?

Roddy is the latest in an increasing list of artist who have admitted to having suicidal thoughts.

Doja Cat Doesn’t Plan On Working With Dr. Luke Again, Hates Her Stage Name

Doja Cat has been opening up about her career frustrations as of late.

In October she admitted to being “overworked and unhappy,” and in a new interview, she talked about hating her stage name.

The rapper’s moniker comes from her fondness of cats and her favorite weed strain. But Doja said the name doesn’t fit her.

“My image was the pothead hippie girl, and I’m not that,” she told Rolling Stone. “[SNL] made a joke the other day that Doja Cat sounds like a Pokémon. And you know, it didn’t hurt my feelings but it definitely hurt my feelings.”

Doja also said she’d no longer be working with Dr. Luke, who’s produced a good amount of her material.

In 2014, pop singer Kesha sued Luke for sexual assault as well as emotional abuse, and he sued her for defamation.

Doja received a lot of backlash for working with Luke but that’s not the reason she’s making a change.

“I don’t think I need to work with him again,” said Doja. “I don’t think I need to work with him in the future. I know that. I think it was definitely nice of me to work with him. There’s sh*t that he’s credited for, where I’m like, ‘Hmm, I don’t know, I don’t know if you did anything on that.'”

Do you think Doja should change her name since she doesn’t like it?

Jim Jones Trolls Freddie Gibbs By Naming New Album After Place Of Their Fight

Jim Jones is taking an obvious shot at Freddie Gibbs by naming his new album Prime 112, which is the name of the Miami restaurant he and Gibbs fought in.

It’s said the two rappers and their entourage bumped into each other at the restaurant on Tuesday, December 14 and Jones came out victorious.

But the Indiana artist posted a smiling video of himself shortly after and looked to be totally fine.

On Thursday, December 16, Hitmaka, aka Yung Berg, who’s producing Jones’ new album shared the title on Twitter.

Then someone accused Hitmaka of taking a shot at Gibbs with the title but he downplayed it.

What are your thoughts on Jones trolling Gibbs with his album title?

Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Care About Trump’s Reaction

Kim Kardashian got riled up when working with President Donald Trump in the White House, but said she didn’t care.

“I’m really not interested in criticism,” Kim said on the FAIR podcast. “I mean, my reputation in someone’s life?” So ruin me. I really don’t care. It wasn’t even an option. And he did the right thing. ”

“I just want to do the right thing; I don’t really care about politics, ”she added. It’s not really about being loved. If I can change anyone’s life, it will be for me. ”

She added that she doesn’t care about the opinions of people on the internet.

“I think if we describe someone for something they’ve done or said before, we’re not going to invite them into the conversation to really understand,” she clarified. “It depends on the situation. You might not care if it’s completely ridiculous. But that’s a good thing. That’s what you asked in the original question: When do you let something go? ? And when do you have thick skin and don’t care about anything.” people talk about you?“

Flavor Flav was almost killed by a rock this week and he says he’s still traumatized by it.

“At the moment, I’m still traumatized,” he said. “Dude, I’m seeing flashbacks. I’m seeing flashbacks like crazy. When I went to bed last night, all I saw was a big rock falling in front of my car. I.”

According to TMZ, Flav was driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles when it rained and a rock fell off a cliff and onto the side of his car.

“God is good. He’s not ready for me!” he joked. “The only thing I can do for myself is try to let go of the past and move forward, because I’m grateful to be here… I feel like a cat who just got one another life.”

Flav briefly lost control after the rock hit his car but was then able to safely cross the street. His car was gross.

Young Thug Admits He’s Never Wrote A Single Lyric

If Young Thug’s bars always sound like they’re coming out of its dome, that’s because they are.

In an interview with i-D. Young Thug admitted he never wrote a lyric.

“I’ve never written lyrics before,” he admitted. I don’t have enough patience to sit down and write. I feel like it’s takes a big part of my day. ”

However, there is a situation where Thug puts the pen down on paper.

“I have wrote, like, when I was incarcerated,” he said. “Anytime I had to go to jail for a day or something. I just like write, because it’s like f*ck I got to do something if I got to stay here 24 hours. The only way I could write is I just got time on my hands and there’s nothing in the world I could do. And the only place you can do that is prison.”

Would Thugger’s lyrics improve if he was locked up?

Freddie Gibbs Shows Signs Of Life After Suspected Jim Jones Attack

Much to the delight of DJ Akademiks, Jim Jones’s crew fought Freddie Gibbs’s crew in Miami last night, with eyewitnesses saying Capo got the better of Gangsta Gibbs.

How much better is in doubt because this morning Gibbs shot a video in the airport in which the Gary, Indiana spitter looks none the worse for wear.

“Come on baby, it’s me, the rabbit,” Gibbs said with nary a bruise on his face.

The word was Gibbs got hit in the face by Jones and members of Jones’s crew.

Given what he looks like, does that now sound like cap?

Young Dolph’s Girlfriend Mia Jaye Praises Rapper At Street Naming Ceremony.

Young Dolph was honored on Wednesday, December 15 by naming a street in Memphis to Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Avenue.

The move comes nearly a month after he was shot dead in his hometown.

Dolph’s longtime partner Mia Jaye was among the speakers at the ceremony and she praised the rapper.

“I’m here with my children,” said Mia, who piggybacked off some words a relative said at the event. “She illustrated Adolph’s character better. I can’t even do it any better, ’cause everything that she said was spot on. He was a man after God’s own heart. I often would call him and tell him he had a heart of David. He was just such a giver, had such a genuine, golden heart.”

She continued. “I can remember when we first got together and he was so busy. But I would always say, ‘I’mma stick around though because he has such a great heart … I could tell he was trying to be helpful and do something for the betterment of his family. I had that intuition and it followed and it was true.”

Dolph will also be honored today, December 16, at FedExForum in Memphis. Earlier this week, it was reported that tickets for the event sold out in just 90 minutes.

Saweetie’s Twerk Video Caught Boosie Badazz’s Attention

Saweetie has been heavily criticized for making a poor appearance on iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City last weekend.

Some have claimed that she was short of breath, which was due to her food choices and the fact that she was not in good shape.

The Californian-born rapper appeared to react by posting a video of twerking with her dancer. She probably did it to show that she had enough stamina to impress an audience.
