DJ Khaled Demonstrated His DJ Skills On Instagram

DJ Khaled reminded his Instagram fans that he is not only a record producer but also a disc jockey by posting a video of himself scratching vinyl records. Many musicians, including Royce Da 5’9, D-Nice, A-Trak, and DJ Scratch, praised him for demonstrating his principles.

“We the Purest,” Khaled captioned the video. “Vinyl alert.”

“A “REAL” Dj bruh…. I don’t think enough people know that about you…”  Royce Da 5’9″ said.

DJ Scratch also added a few fire emojis to the mix.

Because he’s been so successful as a record producer behind the scenes throughout the years, it’s easy for people to forget Khaled’s genuine DJ skills. He even said recently that no one could beat him in a Verzuz competition.

“To answer your question, I really don’t see nobody” On Trick Daddy’s cooking show, I Got My Pots, Khaled stated. “My catalog is super strong … I’m from Miami so if you expect me to be like … I don’t see nobody, and I mean that with love. My catalog is strong. You might wanna Google it and go check out my catalog, I been doing this shit for two decades! And I been putting hit records out for damn near 15 years! So really think about what you thinking and what you saying because Khaled got hits! A lot of hits!”

After previously teasing himself as being in “album mode,” the DJ is set to release a new project in the coming months. Khaled uploaded photos from the studio with Lil Baby and 21 Savage. This will be Khaled’s 13th studio project.

A$AP Bari And Lil Uzi Vert Collaborate In The Studio Following A Recent Alleged Feud

A$AP Bari posted a photo of himself in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert on his Instagram Story earlier this week. barely months after the two allegedly had a nasty argument at Lucien in New York City. However, Uzi had “pulled up on” him, according to a video of the incident.

Bari has his arms around Uzi, and the two appear to be in good spirits, despite the lack of a caption to add context.

The two had to be forcibly removed in the footage from their April exchange, despite putting their arms around one other in the new photo. At the moment, it was unclear what sparked the altercation.

“Shut up, bitch,” In the video, Uzi stated.

“You wild pussy,” Bari fired back. “Eat my dick, n***a.”

This year, Uzi wasn’t the only hip-hop figure with whom Bari had a disagreement. Bari has been criticizing fellow A$AP member Rocky in recent days, declaring him “burned out.” Rocky’s upcoming album has been dubbed “crap” by Bari in other posts. Bari, like Uzi, will hopefully be able to make peace with Rocky.

Lil Yachty Reveals How Drake Wrote His “Churchill Downs” Verse In Just 11 Minutes

Lil Yachty says that Drake recorded his verse on Jack Harlow’s “Churchill Downs” in under 11 minutes. The song is on Harlow’s most recent album, Come Home The Kids Miss You, and many Drake fans consider it to be some of his best work in years.

During an Off The Record Podcast discussion with DJ Akademiks, Yachty divulged the information. He added that the entire verse was in front of Harlow while they were on a trip together “out there in the islands.”

While the song has received a lot of positive feedback, PETA has called out Harlow and Drake for their support of the Kentucky Derby and requested them to donate the song’s revenues to racehorses. The two rappers may be seen hanging out at the Kentucky Derby in a music video for the tune.

Harlow informed The 85 South Comedy Show after the event that Drake had lost money by picking the wrong horses.

“I just told Drake I would bet what he bet, so I copied him,” Harlow said.

Regardless, he had a nice time: “There’s no price on meeting someone who taught you how to do it and having them say, ‘Yo, you’re dope,'” he said.

Once again, the Atlanta rap scene is in mourning. Trouble – best known for singles including “Ain’t My Fault,” “Ready,” and “Kesha Dem” – was shot and died in his car early on the morning of Sunday, June 5th.

Metro Boomin's Mother Reportedly Killed By Her Husband After She Was Fatally Shot

Metro Boomin’s Mother Reportedly Killed By Her Husband After She Was Fatally Shot

Metro Boomin’s mother, Leslie Wayne, died recently. According to TMZ, her husband shot and killed her before turning the pistol on himself on Friday (June 3).

Wayne’s body was outside of Atlanta as seen by law authorities. The formal cause of death will be determined by an autopsy. There are little specifics about the shooting, but condolences for the longstanding producer and his family already flooded social media.

Metro Boomin recalls his mother driving him 17 hours from their home in St. Louis to Atlanta to meet OJ Da Juiceman, who helped him flourish as a producer, in a 2016 profile for The FADER.

Metro’s ongoing work as a producer was predicated on him maintaining his grades, so mother and son would continue to make the 17-hour travels practically every weekend. The strategy paid off, allowing him to not only attend Morehouse College for a semester, but also to build on the success of smash singles like Future’s “Karate Chop” and his collaborations with Gucci Mane.

During this tragic time, Metro’s family and his family have asked for privacy.

Drake Cheers On J. Cole At The Shooting Stars’ CEBL Game

Drake was present at tonight’s Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) game between the Scarborough Shooting Stars and the Hamilton Honey Badgers, where J. Cole was a member of the Shooting Stars. The Toronto rapper wore Cole’s No. 15 jersey while sitting courtside.

The Honey Badgers were able to maintain their dominance throughout the game, winning 84-69 over the Shooting Stars.

Cole joined the Shooting Stars in May following a year with the Rwanda Patriots of the Basketball Africa League. Cole was apparently placed in touch with the correct people to test out for the Shooting Stars by Drake, whose OVO partner Nicholas “Niko” Carino controls the squad.

Cole’s presence on the floor, according to Shooting Stars vice president Jamaal Magloire, is attributable not only to his celebrity, but also to his talent and work ethic.

“He just wants to be treated the same, which I thought was very admirable because he is a very special individual,” Magloire said, per Complex. “As far as the talent that he has, he’s played this game at a professional level in Africa, so, this is his second stint. We’re bringing him in here to play, contribute, and help us win games. That’s his goal as well. It’s gonna be fun and something that is great for the city of Scarborough and Toronto.”

Rick Ross Shares His Thoughts On Begging

Rick Ross Shares His Thoughts On Begging

Rick Ross Shares His Thoughts On Begging

Rick Ross is one of hip-most hop’s successful performers. He is a man who is well-versed in his field, and he has always prided himself on being a savvy businessman. He’s made millions of dollars in his career and understands just how to get what you want, when you want it.

With this in mind, there is no doubt that Ross is the ideal individual to provide business advise. In fact, he just turned to Instagram to offer some very sensible advise on how to get what you need for your future endeavors. He effectively stated that the most important thing is to not beg for anything, as this will get you nowhere.

“I already know how it go. That’s why I go hard, because I know how it go,” Ross stated. “You could be in a room full of the wealthiest mutherf*ckas in the world and tell them, ‘I have nothing, I’m hungry.’ And they’re going to look at you and say, ‘Well what the f*ck are you doing standing next to me begging? Why the f*ck aren’t you working?’ ‘What the f*ck have you established? What have you done with yourself since the f*cking beginning of time? Where’s your brother, where’s your mother, where’s your father, where’s your f*ckin’ kinfolk? You don’t have any friends? You don’t have anything to establish yourself or worth something in anyone’s life?’ That’s what they’re going to tell you. So, if you think begging is going to get you something, you f*cked up.”

Soulja Boy Complains That The “Old School” Isn’t “Kickin’ Back Knowledge” To The Younger Generation

Soulja Boy added his voice to the debate over the generational split in Hip Hop. The “I did it first” rapper received a lot of press for his provocative comments and internet feuds, and his career is full of examples. Soulja Boy is well known to criticize artists that came before him and helped pave the way, but he, like many others, refused to accept OGs’ negative statements about younger rappers.

Soulja criticized older Hip Hop generations for failing to teach those who followed in their footsteps during a recent Instagram Livestream. “Don’t get it f*cked up, you gotta work hard, you know what I’m saying? I feel like in a way, the motherf*ckin’ game failed us because they not kickin’ back enough knowledge to the young n*ggas.”

“They not telling the young n*ggas how to get no money, y’all not tellin’ the young n*ggas how to go out and run up some bands. That’s why my young n*ggas out here going crazy, airing sh*t out, spinning sh*t. ‘Cause I feel like, they failed us in a way, like, all the OGs, y’all supposed to be kickin’ knowledge. Y’all supposed to be kickin’ game to the young n*ggas so they really runnin’ up a bankroll.”

He added: “And that’s the problem! I’m trying to tell you, bro, like, n*ggas look back and be like, ‘Where did this n*gga go wrong’ or ‘What happened?’ I’m like, y’all not kicking back no knowledge to the young n*ggas.”

Joe Budden Slams New York Strip Clubs For Refusing To Hire Black Women

Joe Budden Slams New York Strip Clubs For Refusing To Hire Black Women

Joe Budden Slams New York Strip Clubs For Refusing To Hire Black Women

Joe Budden has been insistent about his regular visits to strip joints. The former rapper and current podcast presenter frequently discusses strip club culture, and there’s no doubt that he knows a lot about what goes on in these locations, particularly in New York City, where he currently resides.

Budden recently shared his opinion on hs Instagram story about a situation that has been building among New York strip clubs. Budden believes there is a lack of diversity in the workforce since so few black women get hired. While he has nothing against these women, he would want to see more black women represented at the club.

“NY strip clubs, not only are you not hiring Black women, but you’re purposely hiring the SAME exact girl.. Your promoter having a type is gonna lose y’all money this Summer.  this is disgusting (not the girls, the optics),” Budden said.

Budden clearly cares about this subject, but it remains uncertain if his concern will result in genuine change. In any case, Budden already raised awareness of the issue, which may result in a change of tune in the near future.

Lil Nas X Criticizes The BET Awards For Having “Outstanding Zero Nominations”

Lil Nas X Criticizes The BET Awards For Having “Outstanding Zero Nominations”

Lil Nas X has risen to become one of this generation’s top stars since 2019. It is unavoidable. After consistently topping the charts, he defied assumptions that he’d be a one-hit wonder. While groups such as the Grammys applauded his efforts, he does not appear to be receiving the same support from BET.

The BET Awards announced their nominations yesterday, and Lil Nas was absent from all of them. Given how unstoppable he’s been over the last 12 months, it’s surprising that he doesn’t feel slighted that his efforts aren’t recognized at the BET Awards.

“Thank you BET Awards. An outstanding zero nominations again. Black excellence,” With praying hands and a white heart, he tweeted. “I try to be humble so bad but it’s really fuck you to a lot of you n***as.”

He , “I will be selling fish plates outside of the BET Awards this year.”

Many people appear to believe Lil Nas X was slighted this year, but some appear to be even more surprised that Jack Harlow was honored before him. Drake, Future, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Lil Baby are among those nominated for Best Male Artist.
