Freddie Gibbs on Accepting Responsibility for Artist Feuds: ‘It Is Me and I Don’t Give a F*ck’
Freddie Gibbs has responded to a fan’s feud-related assumption, fresh off the release of his Kenny Beats-produced “Ice Cream” collaboration with Rick Ross.
On Tuesday, a Twitter user joked about the Soul Sold Separately singer reportedly getting into a fresh battle “every month” and remarked, “I’m starting to think it’s you bruh.”
Freddie Gibbs Dished Out A Quick Response
Gibbs responded quickly, but briefly.
He said, “Yep, it’s me, and I don’t give a f*ck.”
“I Can’t F*ck With Freddie Gibbs”
Gibbs tweeted in March that “I can’t f*ck with Freddie Gibbs” a lyric from Gunna’s “Poochie Gown.” Gibbs then released a video of himself listening to the music. Followed by another video of him dancing to the DS4EVER tune at a gig. When he shared the second video, he proclaimed, “This is my theme tune.”
In response to a claim from the Tana Talk 4 artist that he “begged” to work on an album with Gibbs, Gibbs trolled Benny the Butcher over their unreleased Drake collaboration.
Soul Sold Separately is now due to be released this summer, with Gibbs confirming the date in a recent Bill Simmons interview. Gibbs talked to Complex in July about the record and his role in Down With the King.
