GZA‘s ‘Liquid swords’ Track to be used in Luis Vuitton Campaigns
Hip Hop Legend and Wu-Tang Clan musical group member GZA has partnered with LUIS VUITTON to have his 1995 hit single Liquid swords be used in the cloth line’s marketing campaigns. While the Rapper has been out of the game for a while, his music is still around and therefore not completely forgotten. On July 2nd, Luis Vuitton released the Amen Break version which is a remix from the 1995 original track by GZA. The remix has included other rappers like Mos Def, and Rapsody with some of their lyrics added into the track The remix of the more than 20-year old song will be used as part of the Luis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 Collection campaign.
The film was composed and produced group efforts from celebrated fashion designer Virgil Abloh, and directed by Benji B, and shot by Mahfuz Sultan to make the Amen Break using liquid swords as its background soundtrack. Throughout the mini-movie, GZA appears alongside other Hip Hop rappers like Lupe Fiasco, Saul Williams, and several other prominent artists.
Liquid Sword was produced in 1995 and was the epitome of Wu-Tang Clans’ classic period released between the group’s legendary debut album followed by Ghost Face Killah’s Ironman which made him taken seriously in the Hip Hop circles.
GZA is confident to be donning the Luis fashion wear as early as this year before the campaign kicks off in 2022. He will join the Grammy award-winning 21 Savage who had earlier partnered with Luis Vuitton for a summary unique campaign.
In the music, Ghost Face Killah and Raekwon will be embarking on a 3 Chambers Tour later in the year performing the Liquid swords album in 25 North American Cities. GZA
