Jada Pinkett Smith Makes Public Appearance for First Time Since Oscars
Jada Pinkett Smith took to the red carpet for the first time since the 94th Academy Awards. The 50-year-old wore a gold gown at the grand opening of the Rhimes Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, where she was supporting Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.
Pinkett Smith was radiant in a gold haltered gown as she stood with Debbie Allen and Shonda Rhimes. The ladies appeared alongside Samuel L. Jackson and his wife, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, in another photo. Pinkett Smith did not do interviews as she walked the red carpet. Billy Porter of Pose, on the other hand, greeted her.

As Jada walked up the carpet and into the event, the host of Red Table Talk flashed a peace sign. Debbie Allen Dance Academy will be housed at the new location. The theater will also have a studio named after Pinkett Smith and her husband, Will Smith, according to Broadway World.
Pinkett Smith’s outing on Saturday is her first public appearance since her husband, Will Smith, smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars. Smith smacked Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett shaved Smith’s head, on March 27. The actress has been candid about her alopecia difficulties.
Will Smith Banned For 10 Years By Academy
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said on Friday that Smith will be barred from attending any Academy events for a decade, in person or online.
Academy president David Rubin and CEO Dawn Hudson wrote to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences family in a letter obtained by ET, saying that the Board of Governors in a Friday meeting concluded that “for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022, Mr. Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events” the Academy Awards are included.
