JayDaYoungan’s Father Claims That They Were Ambushed By Five Gunmen Outside Their House
Since the 24-year-old rapper JayDaYoungan was shot and killed in his native Louisiana, additional information about the tragic occurrence has been public.
The recording artist’s grandfather, L.C. Jefferson, stated on Friday, July 29: “There will be no stone left unturned until we find out who took him. This is only what I hear. Someone came from behind the house with a ski mask on and gunned him down.”
“In broad daylight, on a busy road. People have gotten so comfortable to where they think they can shoot someone down and not be caught,” he stated.
Since then, JayDaYoungan’s father, who was present throughout the attack and was speaking to TMZ to give his account of what happened, has given his comments.
Kenyatta Scott claims that on Wednesday night, he and the “Heaven Gates” hitmaker were relaxing in their front yard when a black truck drew up and three armed individuals jumped out.
Scott and his kid apparently tried to flee inside the house, but shots were immediately fired when two other guys, who were also carrying firearms, approached the side of the property.
Kenyatta Scott On How They Got Attacked
The father of JayDaYoungan disclosed that he was armed at the moment and defended his family by firing back at his attackers. Scott was shot twice in the arm during the event, while his son was wounded at least eight times, which caused a significant amount of blood loss and ultimately led to his premature death.
According to Scott, the murder of the Bogalusa native was motivated by “jealousy” since he had left his hometown. According to TMZ, “He feels whoever was behind the shooting was jealous of JDY’s success.”
The artist’s father stated that Jay had no animosity against anyone and that he didn’t think the shooting was gang-related or that his son was acquainted with the shooters. However, Bogalusa Police Chief Kendall Bullen informed the publication that the neighborhood’s officials are still looking into all possibilities, including gangs and/or retaliation.
It has been noticed that police officers appear to think there was just one shooter. No suspects have been identified or detained as of yet.
