Johnny Depp Criticizes Amber Heard On His Latest Album
Since winning the defamation lawsuit he filed against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has been on a victory tour. He expressed his gratitude to his supporters on TikTok. At his gigs, he soaked up the applause of the audience. And it appears that he is starting to revive his acting career, which he accuses Heard of destroying.
Depp appears to still have some more knife-throwing to do, though. According to the Sunday Times, Depp’s lyrics on several songs of a new album that will be published on July 15 appear to call out his former love interest and present foe.
Depp and former Yardbirds guitarist Jeff Beck worked together to create the record, titled 18. Depp sings, in the song “Sad Motherf**kin’ Parade,”. “You’re sitting there like a dog with a seven-year itch.” “If I had a dime, it wouldn’t reach your hand,” He keeps going in the same direction. On a different song, Depp erupts., “I think you’ve said enough for one motherf**king night.”
Only a few tracks, such as “The Death and Resurrection Show” and “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr,” have been made public thus far from the impending album. Depp has also made available a few covers that will appear on the album, including “Caroline, No” by the Beach Boys, “Venus and Furs” by the Velvet Underground, and “Isolation” by John Lennon.
Last month, Depp and Beck performed a number of tour dates in the UK. Depp is 59 years old, and Beck is 76 years old. The Sunday Times reports that the title of the new project alludes to the men’s respective ages as musicians.
