Kodak Black Was Mistaken For Flavor Flav Following His Release From The Broward County Jail
Kodak Black has secured bond, less than twenty-four hours after his surprising arrest following a traffic stop in his native Florida. According to the NY Post, the 25-year-old was freed from the Broward County Jail on Saturday (July 16) on a $75K bond after police allegedly found 31 Oxycodone pills and over $70K in cash in his car during a search.
Cameras captured the “Super Gremlin” hitmaker with his blue hoodie pulled up over his head and a mask covering his face. An affiliating tweet from ABC News’ Parker Branton states, “Kodak Black posts $75,000 bond hours before he is scheduled to play in Atlanta.”
“Kodak Black is now out of jail. He is to perform at a concert in Atlanta at 6 o’clock.”
The Back For Everything artist’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, posted an update on Twitter this morning, writing, “Never judge a case based on an arrest. There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defence, especially in this case.”
The strategy, according to Cohen, is to “get [Kodak] bond today and move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”
In other news, a video of Yak leaving the jail is making the rounds online and generating laughter since it shows some onlookers wrongly identifying him as 63-year-old Flavor Flav as he was getting into his car with some security.
