Kodak Black Has Been Charged With Drug Trafficking & Possession
Kodak Black is facing charges of trafficking oxycodone and possessing a controlled narcotic without a prescription following his recent arrest in Florida. Black’s driver’s license was also over 30 days old.
Black’s Dodge Durango was stopped in Fort Lauderdale on Friday due to unlawful window tinting. He had 31 Oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash on him when he was stopped.
The information was first shared on Twitter late on Friday by Fox’s Andy Slater.
“Kodak Black was stopped for an expired tag and illegal window tints,” Slater stated. “Cops smelled weed when he opened the door to the bulletproof SUV he was driving, so they began a search. That’s when they found the pills without a prescription and the cash.”
Black was detained and sent to the Broward County Jail, where he is still being held as of Saturday morning.
Black has had legal issues in the past, so this is by no means the first time. The Back for Everything rapper was imprisoned in 2021 for possessing a firearm, but former President Donald Trump commuted his sentence. Black has since expressed his support for Trump running for re-election in 2024.
