NBA YoungBoy In Louisiana Facing Additional Gun Charges
NBA YoungBoy won his federal firearms case in California on (15 July). The 22-year-old was facing several years in prison following his arrest by the FBI in 2021. However, his team was able to not only get his song lyrics taken out of the case but also make the argument that no fingerprints were there.
The father of seven said to Rolling Stone, “I feel great,” after learning of his destiny. Fans paid tribute to YB, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, outside the courthouse. Supporters leapt, yelled, and rapped his lyrics in joy at the announcement of his not-guilty judgment.
Although the hip-hop boom gave him a significant break, his struggle for freedom is far from over. According to XXL, YoungBoy is facing yet another firearms prosecution in his native Louisiana. The rapper and a handful of his associates were detained in September 2020 while filming a music video in front of an abandoned home.
According to reports, police removed many firearms, marijuana, Xanax, and other paraphernalia from the site. The recording artist for Atlantic Records was charged as a result and released on bail.
YB scored a minor victory in the case in March of this year when the judge ruled to suppress the prosecutors’ intended submission of photographic and video evidence. The matter is currently pending as both sides try to organize their arguments, according to court documents that XXL was able to get. The subsequent case conference will take place on August 2, 2022.
