Machine Gun Kelly’s “Mainstream Sellout” Album To Debut Atop Billboard 200
Machine Gun Kelly is venturing into punk-rock and his new album, “Mainstream Sellout” is expected to debut atop Billboard charts. According to DJ Akademiks, “Mainstream Sellout” should debut at the number of the Billboard 200 chart attracting 90-100k sales.
DJ Akademiks revealed that 45-55k of the number is anticipated to come from pure album sales. The new project features artists such as Lil Wanye, Gunna, Young Thug, and other rappers. Kelly changed the title of the album in January from Born with Horns to Mainstream Sellout.
While performing at Lollapalooza Brazil, he said he has five rules with which he listens to the album. He said:
“I have five rules for listening to Mainstream Sellout,” MGK said. “One, you have to listen to it once by yourself. Two, you have to listen to it in a car. Three, you have to listen to it with friends. Once, you have to listen to it in the daytime. And then last, you have to listen to it at nighttime. You can combine two and three, and listen to it in a car with friends. That also counts.”
