Polo G Is Seen Being Physically Assaulted By Police On Body Cam Footage
Video from Polo G’s arrest in 2021 appeared online earlier this month. Polo, whose actual name is Taurus Tremani Bartlett, was shown in several videos heckling police officers, swearing at them constantly, and making claims about their lack of riches. More footage of the incident have been discovered, despite the fact that the allegations against him were later dismissed.
The video, which TMZ was able to obtain, shows Polo fighting with the police as they tried to take him into custody. A police officer present at the scene ordered everyone trying to intervene to cease.
The Columbia Records recording artist might be seen handcuffed in a patrol car later on in the video. When a representative of authority came up to him to ask him about what had happened, Polo pushed, “I’m finna die back here, they’re [trying to] kill me.” He continued by drawing comparisons between his predicament and that of George Floyd, a black man who was killed by police in 2020 while unarmed.
The Hall of Fame 2.0 rapper got out of the car and said, “They’re trying to lynch me here,” in an effort to make his point more clearly. He continued by saying that he wasn’t trying to avoid being arrested and that he was rather peaceful. Even still, he continued to accuse them of using excessive force, saying that he repeatedly notified the officers that he was having trouble breathing and that the wrist restraints were preventing blood flow.
