R Kelly still in Jail
There has been speculations and unconfirmed allegations circulating the social Media suggesting that American Singer R. Kelly has been released from Jail on Thursday June 3rd. But no R. Kelly is still incarcerated at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Illinois, Chicago as he awaits two separate fresh trials on women violence, one in Chicago and the other one in New YORK City. The buzz was caused by a Twitter post showing R. Kelly walking out of prison with his lawyer, Steven Greenberg. The Twitter user had also captioned thaw post to convince his followers that the RNB star was indeed, however it has been confirmed to be a lie. The post was somehow convincing as R. Kelly has been relentlessly pursuing a possibility of parole from the justice system during the corona virus pandemic.
Later it was confirmed by photo experts that the photo was taken on 2019 when he was released from Cook County where he was jailed for defaulting child support. Some Twitter users noticed that the photo was old and was published by the Times Union the same year.
But its now clear that R. Kelly is in Jail and still waiting to face multiple charges on child abuse, assault, and violence against women. The hearing of cases has been rescheduled several times during the Covid 19 Pandemic. However, one of his A sex abuse cases in Chicago is set to begin on Sept. 13. According to REVOLT, US, District Judge Harry Leinenweber gave reports indicating that jury selection may start by September 13, however, the date of the hearing was still not set. The cases have been on several occasions interfered by the Corona virus assembly restrictions which make the holding of a full Court house impossible.
On April, he was set to attend a trial hearing in Brooklyn New York but it was rescheduled and delayed due to fresh restrictions on the Corona Virus Pandemic. U.S District Judge Ann Donnelly rescheduled the court hearing to August 9. The American icon has been infamous for multiple counts of violence against women, child abuse and Sex violence.
