Rihanna Releases A New Single “Lift Me Up”
Rihanna makes her musical comeback with the release of a brand-new song named “Lift Me Up.” The track debuts as the first single from the forthcoming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack by Marvel.
The song was co-written by Tems, producer Ludwig Göransson, and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, and is Riri’s first solo release in six years. “I wanted to compose something that depicted a warm embrace from all the individuals that I’ve lost in my life after chatting with Ryan and hearing his vision for the song and the movie. In a news statement, Tems stated, “I tried to picture how it would feel if I could sing to them now and explain how much I miss them.” To hear Rihanna perform this song is a huge pleasure because she has been an inspiration to me. “
The late Chadwick Boseman, who played the title role in the first Black Panther movie and died in 2020 at the age of 43, is honored in the song as “a tribute to the remarkable life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman.”
In her song, “Burning in a Hopeless Dream,” Rihanna croons, “Hold me when you go to sleep, keep me in the warmth of your love, and when you leave, keep me safe and sound.” What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comment section.
