We ain’t no charity case. But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy.”

Cardi B Addresses Criticism that She Hasn’t Released a New Album or Embarked on a Tour

Cardi B’s fans begin to question why it’s taken four years for her to release a new record after promising them one. In response to criticism that she hadn’t released a new album or started a tour, the Bronx rapper recently made a statement.

On Friday (Nov. 25), a supporter reposted a video from a critic who said that Cardi B is hesitant to release her new album or embark on a tour because she is worried about how her first-week sales would fare. The reviewer made mention of the criticism Saweetie is facing about the alleged underperformance of her latest EP, The Simple Life, in terms of sales expectations.

On Saturday (Nov. 26), Cardi posted on her Twitter handle to deny that she was afraid of album sales or of releasing her next one, which would be her second full-length work.

“I’m never afraid of numbers honey,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “And I don’t gotta put out another album if I want to. I EAT  GOOD OF MY diamond records alone [wink emoji]. Don’t drag other bitches to make your point drag the man that’s running their mouth…A grown man!”

The Defense Team For Cardi B Wants The Judge To Reject Tasha K’s Appeal In The Defamation Case

Cardi’s legal team asked the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold the significant judgment against YouTuber Latesha “Tasha K” Kebe on Thursday (October 28).

A multimillion-dollar defamation case that the “WAP” rapper won earlier this year is currently being appealed, and Cardi B’s legal team is pleading with the to dismiss it.

As part of the judgment in the libel action she and the rapper known as “Bodak Yellow” were involved in for years, the court’s decision, in this case, mandates that the content provider pay a whopping $3.8 million.

Tasha K has often expressed her open denial of her ability to pay the debt and her opinion that the judge’s decision was unfair and “solely based on pity and payola.”

Tasha K’s lawyer, W. Andrew Pequignot, called the YouTuber “patently absurd and depraved” in a statement published by AllHipHop.

Cardi B filed the $75,000 lawsuit in 2019, but the case wasn’t decided until the beginning of 2022.

The Grammy Judgement-winning rapper received an additional $1.5 million in punitive damages and an additional $1.3 million in legal fees in January after a Georgia judge increased the Invasion of Privacy lyricist’s initial $1.25 million damages award.

Tasha K made a number of false accusations about Cardi, including that she had herpes, used a beer bottle as a sex object while working as a dancer, was a prostitute, and was addicted to cocaine.

Cardi B Downplays The Official Remix While Previewing The Ice Spice “Munch” Freestyle

Ice Spice’s hit song “Munch (Feelin U)” has a remix by Cardi B, but it doesn’t seem like it will be available for purchase anytime soon.

A teaser of Cardi’s take on the well-known drill tune was uploaded by her on Instagram on Sunday, October 9.

Video of the Bronx stunner modeling a skin-tight black outfit inside her mansion and in the backseat of a car was shown to accompany her verse.

In the caption, she stated, “BITCHES is DEAD to me then, and THEY DEAD to me STILL.”

After learning about Cardi B‘s “Munch” remix, Ice Spice eagerly posted the video to her Instagram Story with the description “Bardiii.” Cardi disclaimed joining the official remix, though.

“By the way, I’m not releasing the music… You know I don’t tease,” she wrote in a tweet. She wrote, “I enjoy it don’t love it…. just having fun,” in answer to a fan who questioned why.

Before “Munch” went viral, Ice Spice said last year that Cardi B had contacted her about working together. She tweeted, “Omg Cardi B just invited me to work wit her?!” “Manifesting.”

The Invasion of Privacy hitmaker has been closely monitoring the upcoming hip-hop artists, with emerging Memphis rapper GloRilla receiving Cardi’s endorsement. In a July interview with Angie Martinez, Bardi named Glo’s breakthrough hit “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” the season’s best song.

Offset And Takeoff Were Seen Together At Rich The Kid’s 30th Birthday Party

The Migos don’t appear to be disbanding after all. The two most recently got together this week at Rich The Kid’s 30th birthday celebration. The two group members could be seen on a video hanging around in the same area of the club. After the release of Takeoff and Quavo’s collaborative project as Unc & Phew, this is among the first times in months that we’ve seen the rapper with either one of his Migos teammates.

The release of “Hotel Lobby” single earlier this year sparked rumors that the Migos had broken up. Offset and Cardi B were shortly found to be followers of both Takeoff and Quavo, which stoked speculation that the Atlanta trio was breaking up. A representative said that conflicting schedules prevented Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset from reuniting on stage for the cancelled performance at Governor’s Ball in New York City.

The release of the Takeoff and Offset music video coincided with the publication of a new Quavo interview in GQ, in which he discussed the band’s potential future. Unc & Phew will be releasing a full-length project, he said while also revealing that each member must make a name for themselves as a solo performer.

“It was all about Migos, Migos, Migos. The three of us,” he stated. “I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work. If not, you start losing members.”

Cardi B Plans Lil Kim Collaboration For New Album: “I Want This To Be Her Moment”

This week, Cardi B returns to the scene with “Hot Shit,” her first single of the year featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk. The song is certainly destined to be a summertime hit, but it also appears to be the clearest sign yet that her Grammy-winning first album’s follow-up will be released soon.

Cardi B said that she’s currently working on securing a feature from Lil Kim during a recent interview with Hot97. Although Cardi frequently cites Kim as an inspiration, the Bronx performer hopes that their combined talents will create a moment that will have a lasting cultural impact.

“I Want Lil’ Kim On My Album”

“I even hit her up, like, I want Lil’ Kim on my album,” she said. “I do have a song that I think, ‘Aight she’s good for it,’ but then I’m also debating, like, on another song. Because I kinda want her on this one, too,” she added, adding that she wants something similar to “Aunt Dot” out of Lil Kim. “But then I’m kinda debating, is that gonna be like a little bit outdated? How’s it gonna be? … And also, like, I just want the song I do with her, I want it to be like a super, like, great comeback. I just don’t want to put her on my album on a song and it’s like, ‘Cool, yeah, she had a Lil’ Kim feature.’ I want this to be like her insane…her moment.”

Cardi clarified that although she has not yet contacted Kim, she does have a concept of how she hopes the renowned rapper will approach the song. She must first choose the track she wants Lil Kim to join.

Cardi expressed her hope that the Cardi x Kim collaboration would be as well-received as her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “WAP.” Even if they were to work with Meg once more, she said, it would have to “make sense.”

“If I was to do another song with Megan, I have to really make sure I do three or four songs and it’s gonna make sense because ‘WAP’ was just such a big moment,” Cardi stated. “It just has to be, ‘Oh my god, they’re a great duo.’ And that’s what I really want with Kim, like something that just makes sense.”
