Exposure Of Partners To Sexually Transmitted Diseases, R.Kelly Wants Charges Dropped

Singer R. Kelly wants the court to dismiss allegations that he deliberately exposed two people to a sexually transmitted disease.

Singer R. Kelly faces various sex trafficking in New York City and is on trial in Illinois and Minnesota for various independent crimes. Singer R. Kelly also allegedly had sexual contact with a minor in 2006.

According to court documents TMZ received, Kelly and her legal team are attempting to dismiss the sexually transmitted disease charge by claiming that herpes is not a recognized sexually transmitted disease. He also denies the allegations.

He also clarified that the singer should not be charged with breaking New York law when he was accused of transmitting the herpes virus to two prosecutors.

Singer R. Kelly added that lawmakers had not included herpes because it “is not an acute bacterial venereal disease.” His legal team also claimed that the virus did not fall under the umbrella of STIs because of the New York State Department of health over syphilis or gonorrhea and the definition of the World Health Organization.

It is not known if the judges will drop the charges against R. Kelly.

Kelly will begin the trial on August 18 and is expected to last four weeks. In addition to the herpes charges, he faces state sex trafficking in Chicago and statewide in Illinois and Minnesota.

Potential jurors will be asked if they can be open to the case.

When asked how he was feeling, R. Kelly’s lawyer Deveraux Cannick told AFP: “Just Another Monday”.

R. Kelly, one of the biggest R&B stars of the 1990s, has been in custody since July 2019.

The New York prosecutor’s office accuses the singer – real name Robert Kelly – of leading an entourage of bosses, bodyguards and others who recruited women and girls and prepared them for sex. Prosecutors say the victims were selected at concerts and other venues.

He is said to have isolated the victims from their family and friends and forced them to call him “daddy”.

Chucky Thompson – Hip-Hop Legend Dead At 53

Carl “Chucky” Thompson, a music producer who has written hits for artists like Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige, has died at age 53.

Thompson publicist Tamar Yehuda confirmed the news Monday in a statement to USA Today. She did not disclose the cause of his death.

In the statement, she wrote:

“It is with a very heavy heart that I can confirm the passing of Chucky Thompson. To anyone in his orbit, you know how generous he was with his energy, creativity, and love. Both the music industry and the world have lost a titan.”

Sound engineer Gimel Androus Keaton, better known by his stage name Young Guru, also posted about the death of Thompson on Instagram.

Keaton wrote, along with a photo of him with Thompson:

There is nothing I can write that will take away this pain. I have to say RIP to my mentor, my big brother, the man who changed my life forever. You treated me like family from day one. You put me in rooms with Biggie. I will forever be in your debt and I will forever be your little brother. This one hurts so bad I can’t even explain it. RIP @chucklife365 there will never be another you!!!!

Thompson began with go-go music in Chuck Brown’s band The Soul Searchers. As a producer, he was involved in the release of hits such as “Big Pop” by Notorious B.I.G. implied. and “Soon As I Get Home” by Faith Evans and the 1994 album “My Life” by Blige.

Thompson’s historic career also included collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Snoop Dogg, and TLC, making him one of the founders of the in-house production team for Sean “Diddy” Combs, known as The Hitmen.

Before his death, Thompson worked with Shania Twain and made a documentary about his life.

After Ben Affleck (48) and Jennifer Lopez (52) vacationed in the south of France and then Italy in recent weeks, the two have now reunited in Los Angeles. Ben had flown home before and now J-Lo is back in California too. This reports ‘TMZ’.

Ben and Jen dined in Beverly Hills at the Olivetta restaurant, to retain a little more Italian flair. Prior to their vacation, the singer would have intensively searched for a school for her twins Max and Emme (13) in the area, after living in Miami for years. This would indicate that Jennifer is moving to the American west coast, to make a new start with Ben.

Lopez was also seen several times with a real estate agent looking at villas in Los Angeles. It is not known whether she will buy a possible new house with Affleck.

Famous Philadelphia Rapper Dark Lo Faces 7 Years In Prison

Famous Philadelphia rapper Dark Lo faces nearly a decade in prison for writing a threatening letter to a witness during AR-Ab’s drug trial.

A Philadelphia judge ultimately convicted rapper Dark Lo (real name Charles Salley) in a case that linked the rapper to gang violence and drug trafficking.

The federal court sentenced him to 7 years in prison, saying the eminent artist should have learned better.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, US District Judge Mark A. Kearney admitted that the rapper had too much to lose teetering in the music industry and the streets.

The artist apologized to the court for accusing a government witness that he could be “stabbed up” if he testified during the trial of his friend Abdul “AR-Ab in 2019.

The rapper sent a threatening letter to a team member named Donte “Taz” Stewart who collaborated with the government.

The letter threatened violence against the witness and his girlfriend.

Dark Lo appeared in court during the AR-Ab trial in 2019, the day Tez testified. The FBI seized the letter and arrested Dark Lo at his Delaware home.

Dark Lo said he didn’t want to scare anyone.

But it was reported that he released a rap song called “Allegations” which seemed to mean he “can’t wait to see” the one who opened his mouth to the police…

The judge, after reviewing all of this evidence, noted how he had turned his life of drug dealing into becoming a commercial rapper and said, “You are the word blacksmith. You chose these words. You know how to write words to create an effect.”

But he still sentenced Dark Lo to nearly a decade in prison for threatening a witness in the case. Dark Lo pleaded guilty to these charges earlier this year.

Nicki Minaj Husband Kenneth Petty Pleads Guilty After Failing To Register As A Sex Offender

Kenneth Petty (43) pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California. The husband of Nicki Minaj (38) thus escapes the hefty prison sentence.

According to TMZ , Kenneth made a deal with the Public Prosecution Service whereby he will receive a lower sentence in exchange for his confession. Sex offenders who fail to submit mandatory registration can face up to ten years in prison plus life in probation. It is possible that he will also have to sit for a while. The prosecutors would also have pointed out in the papers that the minimum sentence is five years’ probation.

Kenneth was arrested in March of 2020 for moving to Nicki, California, but not registering as a sex offender there. He has had to do so since he was convicted in New York in 1995 for attempted rape. In addition to the registration, he must also adhere to a curfew. Earlier this year, he was allowed to be with the singer at any time of the day at the birth of his first child. The couple became parents of a son in October.

Kanye West Misses Donda Deadline Again

Kanye West (44) has again failed to release his new album ‘Donda’ on the planned date. The record was supposed to appear on Friday, after having been postponed twice before, but is still not online on Saturday.

Fans can pre-order ‘Donda’ through Apple Music. It now states that the album will be released on August 13. Whether that is correct is not clear. The rapper has not yet responded to the news that he is late again.

‘Donda’, Kanye’s tenth studio album, was supposed to be released last year. The rapper postponed this and chose July 23 as the new date, but even then he was not satisfied enough with the songs. He decided to stay at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where he threw a release party on July 21, to continue tinkering with his music. Last Thursday he organized another event in the stadium to celebrate the arrival of the album.

It is more common that the rapper decides at the last minute not to release an album on the planned date. For example, the release of his previous album ‘Jesus Is King’ (2019) was postponed several times and fans also had to wait longer for previous albums.

Meanwhile, the rapper would be busy with a new sweetheart in his life.

Kanye West (44) has thrown another release party for his new album ‘Donda’. The launch party was even more exuberant than the first time, American media report. The rapper took a nap and a number of push-ups during the event, among other things.

The launch again took place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. There, the artist held a big listening event to share his new music with his fans. The first time, the rapper stood alone in the middle of the stadium, moving along quietly, occasionally saying something through a microphone while the album was playing.

The day after the party, however, he went into a makeshift studio in the stadium because he still wanted to tinker with the album. To date, the real album has still not been presented. That is expected to happen on Friday. For Kanye, delay is not an unusual move, because he has often decided to go into the studio again at the very last minute. The release of his previous album ‘Jesus Is King’ (2019) was also postponed a few times.

SAD: Chicago Rapper Edai 600 Killed At Age 32

FANS have paid tribute to drill rapper EDAI 600 who was reportedly shot dead, according to social media.

The artist is reported to have been shot several times on Sunday morning. He got two gunshot wounds at his back, but the cop’s scanner audio confirmed he had been shot six times in the chest and stomach.

Chicago Rapper EDAI 600 was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Rapper FBG Duck’s mom posted on IG to confirm Chicago Rapper EDAI 600 death as she posted on Instagram, “Everyone has to die, damn normalize growing up and be a grandfather to all children (sic).

Edai’s Death Occurs Days After Gonzoe’s Death

Edai’s death comes just days after it was reported that fellow musician Gonzoe, 45, had been shot and killed near a gas station in Seattle.

Distraught Gonzoe fans flooded Twitter with dozens of tributes.

Alpha Martin tweeted, “RIP Gonzoe. I remember reaching out to him on MySpace for a verse and he actually replied.

“A lot out of my budget when I was a teenager, but he got it and stayed humble. ”

Chicago Rapper Fbg Duck Killed Last Year

Edai’s death is unfortunately not the first loss in the Chicago music scene.

Chicago rapper FBG Duck, 26, was killed in a drive-by shooting in August 2020.

Rapper C-Murder Claims Sealed Documents Hold Keys To His Freedom

Rapper C-Murder, no-limit rapper, has been serving a life sentence since 2009 for his alleged role in the murder of 16-year-old boy in 2002. He has claimed his innocence from the onset.

Today, after a series of major twists and turns during his trial, the rapper claims there are sealed documents that hold the key to his freedom.

In a press release from his publicist on Wednesday August 4, rapper C-Murder claims there are 31 hidden documents showing illegal DNA reports that were not presented during his attempted murder.

He claims a match was found when analyzing his DNA in the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) database, but the Attorney ordered that the genetic data be pulled from the system and marked as unknown.

Miller called for a full investigation into the “corruption that led to his current imprisonment” and for the press to demand that the 31 documents be turned over to him and his legal department. The courts are apparently fighting against the disclosure of these documents.

“Half of my life has been stolen by the Louisiana courts and it stops now!” said C-murder.

The press release also said that the no-limit rapper, currently housed at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, has gone on a hunger strike to protest the medical negligence he and other inmates have suffered since the Covid pandemic.

He also added that “While quarantined, the inmates are on constant lockdown and are not allowed to leave the dorm to receive fresh air. The tests that they provide are not up to standard and they are giving many erroneous results. There are many inmates that have ailments that were not properly treated and as a result, have died after contracting the virus.

“I believe that the world should know what is occurring here and their loved ones deserve to know the truth.”

Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., also known as TI, is back in Los Angeles after vacationing with his wife Tiny in Amsterdam. There, the 40-year-old rapper was arrested by the police after he drove his bicycle through a red light. But in the end it all went well, he told ‘TMZ’ at the airport.

“Here in America you have to immediately fear for your life”

“It was all very blown up, because there wasn’t that much going on. As I said before, I was very surprised at the relaxed approach of the Amsterdam agents, who didn’t even try to draw their weapons. It wouldn’t have been necessary for such a minor offense, but here in America you have to immediately fear for your life. That was an eye-opener,” said TI

He continues: “The fact that the officers and I couldn’t understand each other caused miscommunication. I didn’t understand the accent of the officer who spoke to me, it was a kind of mix of English with Dutch, at least I think. I didn’t immediately think he was a cop. In America, these kind of men come up with a little more fanfare, so to speak. Then you immediately know that it is wrong and now I was actually quite nicely received. I was not handcuffed and was allowed to getting in the car yourself. We are not used to that in America.”
