According to the memo, a psychologist who met with Tory in jail last month reported on his traumatic childhood, including violence, abuse, grief, and neglect, which led to alcohol problems. The death of his mother at a young age and living in challenging environments further affected his mental state. Even after achieving success in the music industry, Tory continued using alcohol and marijuana as coping mechanisms for unresolved childhood traumas.

Although the evidence against him resulted in a conviction, his lawyers argue that his alcohol use disorder significantly influenced the offense. The memo also emphasizes Tory’s charitable and community efforts, asserting that he poses a low risk of violent recidivism.

Despite being presumptively ineligible for probation due to aggravating circumstances, Tory’s attorneys believe his case is unusual and that justice would best be served with probation. Prosecutors are demanding a severe prison sentence for Tory Lanez, the alleged triggerman in the July 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Deputy District Attorneys Kathy Ta and Alex Bott filed a motion emphasizing Lanez’s alleged callousness and lack of provocation during the incident. The filing highlights Lanez firing five shots at Megan’s feet while she was defenseless and shoeless in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Prosecutors argue that Lanez’s conduct demonstrated a high level of indifference to human life, posing a significant danger to those around him.

Although the motion doesn’t specify the recommended prison term, a more detailed memorandum is expected to be filed by June 6. If Judge David Herriford agrees with the prosecution, Tory Lanez could face a sentence longer than the middle range of the maximum, which stands at 22 years and 8 months. However, state law requires the jury to identify “aggravating factors” before a judge can apply them for a sentence exceeding the middle range.

Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, has been held without bond since being found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm. The 30-year-old artist will face sentencing on June 13. Tory Lanez filed for a trial but didn’t get an approval for it. It claims his right was disenfranchised. Boosie is out there encouraging him to not give up but that he should do whatever is in his capacity to be done. 

During the interview, Vlad said, “Remember on Instagram live with a Kai Sonata. I think and they put up their purses. And when they asked tank, is he gonna want his purse. He goes no no he can keep that.” 

Boosie said, “I took that damn person. I know I’d have been a tankier. I’d have been all in this deal. Don’t leave that shit.” Vlad confirmed the price of the purse to be $2.5M. He also noted that the stake is up to $7M . Boosie replied, “I would have took it. Lord Jesus Christ!”

In his words, Akademiks said, “the prosecutors filed an opposition, uh.um you know statement saying that he shouldn’t get an appeal and apparently the judge was supposed to listen to the appeal today.

“But has now, and I think, based on Tori’s lawyers, they have they have requested that the judge issue a continuance and think about this for a later date so Tori’s lawyers has gotten the judge to think about whether he should get a neutral or not at a later date. 

“Which means that he might or might not but at least the judge will have a little bit of time to think about this so either Graham it or not
