Baby Keem Considers Collab With Kendrick Lamar
Baby Keem is being nominated for the first time at the 64th annual Grammy award, which will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on the 3rd of April, 2022. “Family ties” which is Baby’s single which he did in collaboration with his cousin Kendrick Lamar was nominated for the Best Two performance/song, he was also recognized as the best new artist
The 21-year-old rapper was having a chat with the Recording Academy where he was discussing about his Grammy nominations. When asked about his two collaborations with Kendrick Lamar on his recent album “The Melodic Blue“, and if the two will continue with their collaboration in the future.
“That’s a good question,” he said. “It’s like it’s 50-50. It could happen and it couldn’t, I don’t know. It just really depends on a lot of factors that I don’t have control over. So, it’s just what the world wants. The world wants it, then it can have it.”
“I find myself going back to a lot of old music,” he said on the projects he’s bumping to recently. “A lot of old Kanye and Outkast, obviously. But those are just songs — album-wise, I really go back and dig. Like I said before, Frank. Even my cousin’s old albums. I think it’s important to have your own individuality, but also be able to reference art from the past.”
