Young Dolph Receives Jackson State University Honor
Young Dolph Received Jackson State University Honor. The University Renames Stadium Tunnel “Paper Route Tunnel”.
The rapper’s impact will always live every time someone walks through the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium tunnel at Jackson State University. In honor of Young Dolph, the popular historical black college university will rename its tunnel.
The “Covered Route” is going to have a new name in the honor of Dolph. The new name is “Paper Route Tunnel”. The university’s executives made the announcement of the new name at a news conference with coach Deion Sanders and the players.
“It should be renamed,” a Jackson State spokeswoman said. “Paper Route Tunnel should be the name of the tunnel. In honor of the life and legacy of Young Dolph.”
When Dolph, the late Memphis rapper, attended Jackson State’s 28-7 homecoming victory over Alabama State in October, the two grew closer. Dolph joined the team’s celebration in the locker room after the game. They were enthralled by his song “100 Shots,” and the video clip quickly went popular on social media.
Young Dolph’s impact will continue to live at Jackson State University, where he received the honor.
Last November, Young Dolph visited his hometown at Memphis. Suddenly, some armed men drove past and shot him. An autopsy report that was released earlier this month revealed that they shot Dolph 22 time. Since his death, three men have been detained in connection with his murder.
