The Game Disappointed by This Year’s Father’s Day Turn out

The Game released a six-minute video on Monday June 21 complaining to his loved ones for failing to acknowledge his role as the father figure. On an Instagram post, he expressed his concerns towards those who failed to show any love on the annual holiday. He said, “Yesterday, woke up on Father’s Day, and the only person that really acknowledged the fact that I was a father was my oldest son.” The video was shared by TheShadeRoom, he further added, “He got me some cologne, you know, some stuff within his budget, and I thought that was beautiful. I appreciated it. That’s how I raised him, to be humble and always take care of your people when they’re very present.” According to his statement on the video, he didn’t receive any love from the people he loves and takes care of.

He said as a father he always goes overboard trying to provide and take care of his children and the people around him. The Game compared the situation with the mother’s day and how he makes efforts to impress mother’s in his life. He thought the same should have been reciprocated with some kind of appreciation, love and affection during the Father’s day. He complained that the Father’s day is a little bit disrespected compared to the Mother’s day which is held in high regard and celebrated in Pomp and color. He said that for his case he has started to feel like the deadbit dad’s there. He further added that there are fathers who are sacrificing to make life better for their children and their mothers and therefore deserve to be appreciated. He explained, “I feel like people don’t give a fuck about it, at least in my life because like yesterday, other than eating with my son, I don’t really have anything to show for Father’s Day.”

The ’Hate it or Love it, Hip Hop Star complained that the people he takes care of as a father could go ahead and post anything on Instagram but could not bother to even post a Happy Father’s day post.

T-pain Confesses Going through a 4 Year Long Depression after Auto tune was Blamed on Him

T-Pain’s heavy use of Auto—sound in his debut 2004 tracks revolutionized the music production landscape. Auto-tune gave a big boost to artists with poor vocals as the software could fine tune their sound to a consumable enticing melodic. But the idea was not welcomed by everyone, especially musicians. And T-pain was the one to carry all the blame. He was among the few artists who successfully used the Auto-Technology first and so many established artists this was giving them an easy time in the industry. Specifically, T-pain spoke of how Usher took a heavy blame on the use of Auto-tune. Usher claimed T-Pain messed up the music industry. Usher was T-pains friend and so he took the blame seriously and this could lead to a four-year long battle with depression. In an exclusive interview with a yet to be released Netflix series This is pop, T-pain explain how he found himself into deep depression after Ushers remarks that he is solely responsible for the damages cause by Auto-tune.

“Usher was my friend,” T-Pain said in the clip. “I really respect Usher. And he said, ‘I’m gonna tell you something, man. You kinda fucked up music.’” He further added that he initially he wasn’t very serious with the alteration but he took it serious when Usher repeated the same words toward him. Usher told him again that he really fucked up music for real singers. T-Pain went ahead to ask him what has he done because he only used the new technology and he didn’t tell anyone to use it. According to T-Pain, this words landed heavy on him, they affected him emotionally and before he realized, he had long suffered from depression. T-Pain explained, “That is the very moment, and I don’t even think I realized this for a long time, but that’s the very moment that started a four-year depression for me.”

However, Usher was not the only artist who felt so, in the ‘Blueprint 3’ Album, JAYZ did a track titled, “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune).” The track was aimed at criticizing the over use of the technology which labeled T-pain as the major culprit.

Honeykomb Brazy’s Music Videos used in Court for his Possession Charges

Honeykomb Brazy is an Alabama artist facing charges on illegal possession of Marijuana. On Wednesday 16th June, he appeared before an Alabama court for the hearing. Fox10News reported that the prosecuting bench was pushing the Mobile County Circuit Judge Wesley Pipes to revoke his 2016 probation so that he can be arrested. In previous charges, the Rap-A-Lot Records artists was found guilty as a convicted Felon after he was found in possession of an illegal firearm. The Judge however declined to honor the request to revoke the probation despite the increased concern over the recent conduct.

However, the uniqueness in the case is that the Prosecutors argued that the Alabama artist had violated the terms of his probation by using guns in his videos. The defense in counter argument said there was no evidence that the guns used were real. They argued that those were fakes only modeled to look like the real guns simply for the purpose of making the videos. In addition, the defense argued that in the videos there were disclaimer indicating that the guns used were only props used for the purpose of the production. His step mother also testified that she is one of his managers and that she attends his video shoots and the guns used were not real. She attested they were props.

The video producer for most of Honeykomb videos also faced the prosecution bench and attested that most of the items used for production are simulated and not real including the money, guns, and drugs. Rashad McCall’s Company produce his videos and it testified that it makes orders for all the props used in the making of the video and there are financial records showing that. Therefore, there is no likelihood that there are real guns in the videos. His Defense lawyer Jeff Deen argued that his client only makes music for entertainment and his frequent reference to guns and violence is meant to reflect what happens in the society but not his personal life.

“It comes with the industry,” he said. “It’s shocking to some of us, but that’s how they make their money. And it’s a very lucrative market, and this young man has a lot of talent. He’s a go-getter.”

Honey Komb’s behaviors are pointing to the revocation of his probation as fresh details emerged indicating that he might have violated. That is according to Mobile County Chief Assistant District Attorney Keith Blakwood.

Since his young age, Lil Wayne has been doing great hip-hop music. From the time he rose to stardom, he declared himself “the best rapper alive”, and no one has ever disregarded him as such. He has been inspiring generation of rappers, not to mention people like Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Just recently, he has done a collabo with Nicki Minaj and Drake and his superiority is shown on Seeing Green Track. It is not even having a video but the song has garnered over 12.5 million YouTube views.

Most of rappers refer him as “the GOAT” of rap music. Truth be told,  Dr.Carter, he is genius!

He raps like he has all dictionary in his head. One of the hip-hop rappers Roddy Ricch said “I peep game from the greatest to ever do this shit”. The two collaborated on track with Birdman called Stunnaman. Lil wayne has been featuring in many songs recently and has worked with different young rappers and this is something that we cannot ignore. He is in Polo G’s album, Hall of Fame. His music still resonates this the new generation, even when most of his peers have moved on and do not get any recognition from the new rappers.  In 2021, Wayne remains sharp as ever and he is on top with the rappers who were not even born when he started his career in True Story album in 1995. At his age, 38, Lil Wayne continues inspire and get rejuvenated by new age rappers. His skills continue to grow and get better each day.

Maybe this is so because Lil Wayne helped in some way, birth the new rap genre. But the truth still remains, Lil Wayne he is here for longer time, just like Cristiano Ronaldo is in football, Lil Wayne he is in Hip-Hop Music for such longer time, no one will take him down soon, he is no just giving up or hanging his rap boots!

Portland’s new way of using Music to pave way for Justice

As dozens of Portland police office resign from their call of duty, hip-hop cannot be ignored for what it has done to bring justice to the people of this great region. Hip-hop community in Portland is not that big but a small one which is vibrant. In recent years we have seen growth. A lot has happened during this corona period and social justice has been affected too. Before this happened, hip-hop was involved in many activities in Portland concerning social justice. Thigs are beginning to change as people become immunized with a vaccine and we have been noticing the new generation of vibrant youths coming up and starting doing a live music in the city.

We happen to meet a The Portland’s hip-hop artist by the name Vursatyl The Great who has been in the game for almost fifty years now.  He states that hip-hop in Portland started with the dance and he himself was a pop locker and in 1979, he started to rap.

Vursatyly the Great went on to become one of the city’s greatest artist when he was in a group called trio Lifesavas. Early 2000s, the group saw great success as they put out two records with Quannum Projects, the much loved label and underground hip-hop collective of the same name. They included most of musicians from the region like Blackalicious, Lateef the Truthspeaker, Lyrics and DJ Shadow.

Here is his latest jam that has served us a glimpse of the where he has come from:-

Even though there is great success that has been noticed over the years, Vursatyl says that Pacific Northwest has always been blocking this great hip-hop. “That’s been the challenge — to try to kind of develop the image of Portland to be something other than the whitest [big] city in America,” he says. Even though hip-hop is always related to people of color, but that perspective has to be changed in the Portland because majority of the people are white and hip-hop has already moved from being a black people’s genre, to being a music for all.

The perception has changed In recent years with emergence of young hip-hop stars whose music has garnered billions of views, meaning the people’s perspective has changed. Things are changing and soon we will be noticing a totally new Portland.
