Diddy Receives A Pure Diamond Chain For His 53rd Birthday From Yung Miami

Another glimpse into Yung Miami‘s relationship with Diddy has been provided to fans, including a video of the moment he unwrapped her pricey birthday present.

On Thursday (November 4), the day of her boyfriend’s actual birthday, Yung Miami posted a tribute to him. On Saturday night, she went back to Instagram to post pictures from his birthday celebration in Los Angeles.

Multiple images of the City Girls rapper displaying her evening attire and entering a venue while holding hands with Diddy were featured in the first photoset. A video of the moment the owner of Bad Boy opens Caresha’s gift—a medallion covered in diamons and a matching chain—was hidden among those pictures.

She included a clip of her appearance on the remix of Diddy’s new song “Gotta Move On” after the montage of their evening.

Another video clip, which was later shared on Instagram, shows Yung Miami putting the present around Diddy’s neck as Mary J. Blige applauds from the seat next to him. Yung Miami captioned the second set of photos with the phrase “I love the way you make ME feel,” but not the first.

The gift comes after she received a similar one from Diddy in September. Diddy expressed his admiration for her by giving her an icy chain with a pendant that spells out “Love,” a nod to his R&B-influenced alter ego.

Takeoff’s Friends & Family Hold Atlanta Candle Lighting Ceremony In His Honor

TakeOff was remembered at a vigil organized by his closest friends and family. On Friday, November 4, numerous videos of a private candle-lighting ceremony started to go viral online. The mourners for the late Migos rapper TakeOff huddle up next to one another in the brief video as they chant his name and send balloons bearing his stage name aloft into the sky.

The attendees also shouted the phrase “Nawfside,” which TakeOff and several of his fellow Atlanta rap peers used to pay homage to their upbringing on the city’s Northside, along with the words “R.I.P. [Rest in peace] TakeOff.”

Since the news of Takeoff’s passing broke on Tuesday, condolences have been pouring in from all corners of the hip-hop scene (November 1). Authorities claim they were alerted to a fight at the 810 Billiards and Bowling in downtown Houston at around 2:30 a.m.

When an altercation started and shots were fired, Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was present with a group of spectators that also included his uncle and Migos bandmate Quavo.

According to the Houston Coroner’s Office’s autopsy report, the 28-year-old died as a result of head and torso gunshot wounds. Quavo’s assistant Joshua “Wash” Washington was one of the two other injured people who were taken to a nearby hospital.

At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2022, Steven Tyler and Ed Sheeran Performed Alongside Eminem

The 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony took place Last night, at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, and Eminem became the latest rap artist to be inducted. The rapper gave a set of six songs to the audience after being introduced by his longtime mentor, friend, and producer Dr. Dre.

The “My Name Is” classic by the Detroit legend opened the performance, which was followed by the quick-rapping “Rap God.” Steven Tyler of Aerosmith then joined Marshall Mathers for “Sing For The Moment” before he was helped by Ed Sheeran for “Stan.” Along with his verse from Drake’s “Forever,” Eminem also performed “Not Affairs,” one of his inspirational Recovery singles.

Here is the fraction of  Eminem’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction speech:

“This shit is crazy… I realize what an honor it is right now for me to be up here tonight, and what a privilege it is to do the music that I love, and the music that basically saved my life.

“Where’d the man, where did Dre go? The man who saved my life, ladies and gentlemen, Dr. motherf-ucking Dre. So I’m going to try to make this as quick and painless as possible. I’m fucking stuttering and shit, I mean Jesus Christ.

“So I’m probably not supposed to actually be here tonight because of a couple of reasons. One of them that I’m a rapper, and this is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And there’s only a few of us right now that have been inducted in already, but there’s only a few of us.

J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival To Return In Spring 2023

Dreamville Festival to Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 1 and 2, 2023, was confirmed by J. Cole and his Dreamville crew on Wednesday.

After a three-year break, the festival returned this year and will once more fill Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park with musical performances by Cole’s favorite musicians and collaborators. 80,000 people from all over the world attended the event in the spring, which featured a wide range of activities, regional merchants, food trucks, and artists from the broader Triangle area. Notably, the event this year had a positive economic impact on Raleigh and Wake County over USD 6.7 million.

Dreamville Festival wants to keep growing and building off the success of the expanded two-day event this year. Our team is excited to reunite with our Dreamville family from around the world next spring,” said Dreamville Festival President Adam Roy in a statement. “Day ones, JID fans, Ari fans, music fans, everyone is welcome. Consider this your personal invite. Come through, you won’t want to miss Dreamville 2023.”

The “No Role Modelz” rapper’s Dreamville Festival made its premiere in 2018 with a roster that included SZA, Big Sean, Young Thug, and numerous more renowned performers. The festival’s debut edition did not take place until April of the following year because Hurricane Florence forced the cancellation of the opening event. The third iteration of the Dreamville Festival will take place in 2023 because the COVID epidemic also forced the cancellation of the festival’s 2020 edition.

Trey Songz Rape's Civil Case Was Dismissed; Statute Of Limitations Passed

Trey Songz Rape’s Civil Case Was Dismissed; Statute Of Limitations Passed

The civil complaint filed against Trey Songz for a supposed rape that occurred in 2016 has been dismissed.

The civil lawsuit has been dismissed by the judicial system, according to TMZ, because the period of limitations on the allegations has passed.

The accusation was made earlier this year by a woman going by the moniker Jane Doe. She said that while she and the R&B singer had a “consensual” relationship at first, Trey Songz turned into a “savage rapist” in March 2016. She said that TS anally violated her despite her numerous requests for him to stop, and she was suing for $20 million in compensation.

The civil lawsuit was dismissed after Trey’s legal team intercepted the filing because California only has a two-year statute of limitations, meaning that anything filed after March 2018 would not hold Trey Songz accountable.

Trey Songz has had other lawsuits recently involving sexual assault, so this is by no means the only one. Trey Songz was exonerated of the accusations of sexual assault from a November event in a Las Vegas hotel in April.

Following Takeoff’s Demise, Chuck D Talks On Gun Violence In The United States

After Takeoff was shot and died in Houston on Tuesday, Chuck D is speaking out against gun violence. The rapper from the Migos was 28 years old.

In response to the tragic shooting, Chuck D told TMZ that there has been “far too much” gun violence in the United States and that it has “normalized.”

“It’s not normal behavior, it’s just not normal and what the circumstances in the United States of America is just dealing with abnormal situations that people think, you know, through culture, it’s been normalized over the years,” he explained.

Chuck D continued: “It is a tragedy, and the pain is unbearable…The peace, unity, love aspect of Hip-Hop should be revered.”

The Public Enemy rapper then referred to it as a “tragedy” because so many young people had grown up in the hip-hop scene dying.

“It’s a tragedy and I think that in any other walk of life it would have been addressed far earlier on how to prevent this before it became a thing that people thought is normal,” Chuck D said. “You have people who’ve grown up thinking that hip-hop death is a normal thing.”

After a fight over a dice game at a private party at Houston’s 810 Billiards & Bowling, Takeoff was slain. Quavo, a fellow Migos member and Takeoff’s uncle, was there but escaped unscathed.

Yet, no suspects have been taken into custody. According to Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner, there is no evidence to suggest that Takeoff was involved in any illegal activity at the time of his death.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner was motivated to defend the Hip Hop culture after Takeoff was shot and died early on Tuesday morning (November 1).

On Tuesday, Finner addressed the negative connotations that Hip Hop has acquired while also revealing his desire to meet with local musicians to talk about the city’s gun violence.

He also paid tribute to Takeoff, pointing out how admiring remarks about the late Migos rapper’s character and music had been made by all.

“Sometimes the Hip Hop community gets a bad name,” Finner said. “And I know, evident from this city and people whom I have a great relationship [with], [there’s] a lot of great people in our Hip Hop community and I respect them. But back to Takeoff. I got many calls from Houston and outside of Houston, and everyone spoke of what a great young man this is, how peaceful he is, and what a great artist.

“I’m calling up on everybody, our Hip Hop artists in Houston and around the nation, we gotta police ourselves. It is so many talented individuals, men, and women, in that community who, again, I love and respect. We all need to stand together and make sure nobody tears down that industry.”

He added: “And I’m calling to start here in Houston, here and possibly as early as next week. I wanna meet with some of our artists and see how we can taper things down.”

According to TMZ, Takeoff was shot and killed outside 810 Billiards and Bowling in downtown Houston early on Tuesday.

Quavo can be seen and heard shouting with someone outside the Houston bowling alley where his nephew and fellow Migos member was killed in the early hours of Tuesday in the video acquired by TMZ (November 1).

The tense exchange, which appeared to be focused on basketball, can be seen taking place just a few feet away from Takeoff. “Man, I don’t care about no basketball, bruh,” can be heard Quavo stating, who was reportedly rolling dice at the time. Bruh, don’t act that way.

Soon after, there is a physical altercation, which is quickly followed by gunfire. More than 10 bullets were fired, and according to TMZ, many weapons may have been used.

Takeoff was hit by at least one of the gunshots “either in the head or near his head.” He was declared dead at the scene when the police arrived. Quavo managed to leave the shooting unscathed, but two further victims were brought to local hospitals.

Standing next to Takeoff at the moment of the shooting was boxing champion Shakur Stevenson, who escaped unharmed. He posted “R.I.P. Takeoff” to Twitter on Tuesday.

Takeoff’s death was the result of “a stray bullet,” according to Kevin “Coach K” Lee, co-founder of Quality Control Music, the record label for Migos, in a statement about it.

“It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff,” the message read. “Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated. Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss.”

Takeoff’s Comment About Death Just One Week Before He Was Shot And Killed

Rapper Takeoff of the hip-hop trio Migos made an odd comment regarding his life and death just one week before he was shot and died in Houston, Texas.

Takeoff, 28, remarked that he wished to receive his “flowers” while he was still “here” to receive them.

He remarked while performing on the Drink Champs podcast with Quavo, another rapper from the Migos when co-host N.O.R.E. mentioned how Takeoff was “really shining” on his most recent album.

Under the name Unc & Phew, the group published the album Only Built For Infinity Links less than a month ago.

“It was your time to prove. Is something you had on your mind when you [were] going to do that?” N.O.R.E asked Takeoff.

“For sure. I’m chill, I’m-laid back, but it’s time to pop it. I want to get into my flow—time to give me my flowers. I don’t want them when I ain’t here,” he replied.

Symbolic flowers were presented to Takeoff after the podcast episode (below) ended.

Takeoff, whose true name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, rose to stardom with his uncle Quavo and the first cousin once removed Offset as a member of the hip-hop group Migos.

Yung Rich Nation was the first of the group’s four studio albums, which were all released in 2015. They would release Culture as a follow-up, which peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum.

Jeezy Meets Former President Barack Obama For The First Time

Jeezy has often expressed his admiration for former President Barack Obama. The classic mega single “My President,” from his third studio album The Recession, was released in 2008 as a tribute to Obama winning his first term. Nas is featured in the song, which was created the day Barack Obama won the Democratic presidential nomination.

Jeezy finally got to meet his beloved president at a Democratic gathering where Obama was a guest speaker at the Gateway Center last week.  Before taking a photo with Obama, the “Seen It All” rapper uploaded a video of themselves shaking hands. “If this doesn’t inspire you, nothing will” #SNOFALL, he said in the caption of the stirring video.

Although this was Jeezy’s first encounter with the former president in person, he had previously been invited to hang out with Obama. He admitted to Hip Hop DX in 2019 that the secret service had turned him down from attending an Obama dinner in New York City. “I was meant to attend a dinner in New York, but when I got there, the Secret Service wouldn’t let me in. They said I was still under investigation and reportedly because of my track record.”

The 44th President of the United States offered the Snow Man love despite being unable to attend the meal. Obama stated at his Correspondents Association Dinner in 2012, “In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy,” just before securing yet another victory for his second term.
