Ed Sheeran And Lil Baby Drop Music Video For ‘2step,’ Which Got Filmed In Ukraine
Ed Sheeran drops a video for a remix of his song “2step,” which features Lil Baby, a 27-year-old American rapper. Sheeran and Lil Baby wander about Kyiv, Ukraine, in the “2step” video. Hundreds of people join them in a street dance.
Sheeran said in a statement that the video got filmed in 2021, before Russia invaded Ukraine.
“I filmed the video for 2step in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the devastating acts of violence started to take place. It was my first time visiting the country and I felt so welcomed during my stay there — everyone from the production crew to the many people I met across my days off,” he said.
“Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful to have had the chance to film my video there,” he continued. “I stand with Ukraine and will be donating my record royalties from YouTube streams of the video to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.”
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal helps those in need of food, water, shelter, and medical care.
Sheeran’s fifth studio album, was out in October and includes the original version of “2step.” “Bad Habits,” “Shivers,” “Overpass Graffiti,” and “The Joker and the Queen” are among the album’s singles.
